Button type doesn't tell you anything.

I have a true Joyetec eGo-C (complete with logo) and a eGo-type battery I bought from Litecig USA (has their name on the bottom plate) and both buttons are the same. Both batteries are 650ma but the one from Litecig seems to last a little longer. The one from Litecig has the 5-click on/off but doesn't have the color-changing voltage indication. The one from Litecig is about $5 cheaper. I'll be buying more of these from Litecig.

I now think that a vendor that I have bought a half dozen egos from is selling egos that are not genuine joyetech egos. I will tell you why I think this. It is because they are offering the new ego-c twist in colors that the joyetech website does not offer them in. When I go to the joyetech website they say they have the twist in black, stainless, pink, and white. That is why I think when I see them offered in lots of other colors I think they must be the knock-offs. Please let me know if that is correct or not.

Most of the Chinese use the same exact parts and factories. Many of the ego knockoffs are in fact completely Joye. I have all kinds of "knock-off" batteries and they work perfect. Been vaping on them for 6 months, no problems. Im sure there is a difference in quality control but your supplier usually has a warranty and if they dont, dont use them. If the there was a huge stamped imprint with the word "Knock-off" right on the battery.. if it lasts and it vapes well.. who cares. I certainly don't.

Joyetech is extremely serious these days wrt the "falsies" showing up. If you sell genuine Joyetech products below the MSRP you are warned by your supplier to raise your prices to MSRP or you just received your last order. This is why many vendors do not carry their product.

Joyetech also has the names of their distributors on their website, and you can also ask the vendor....I haven't met ANY vendors who list their batteries as "JOYETECH" that aren't......

they will just say ego or something.

Believe me, nobody is going to put the Joyetech part on their biz website and risk using Joyetech name if they are not legit.

Also, I haven't met any vendors on ECF who will not tell you, if you email them, if they are selling Genuine Joyetechs. They are all honest about it. Not everyone wants to sell them, just like not everyone wants to sell vision vivi novas. There are customers who need to be served and need things at a lower price point, and that is great.

So, if you see an "ego twist" for $18.00 you can pretty much bet it's not genuine Joyetech because as has already been said, Joyetech protects it's price point.

Does it matter though? Maybe and maybe not. Anyone can tell you stories about either/or battery going belly up. It's a part, it's electronic, they do not all come off the assembly line perfect.

Do I buy genuine Joyetech, why yes, yes I do. Mostly because I like the vendors I deal wtih and that's what they sell. :) So I just stick with vendors I get my everything else from, and they just happened to be Joyetech vendors.
