paste here a description of the electronics and how to use it
description is not yet complete, after the weekend I'll add the rest of the options
Specifications for electronic components
Main features:
* Operated with one button.
* 2 digit, 7 segment 5mm LED display
* Powered by 2 stacked Li-Ion batteries ,Protected batteries are recommended.
* Works with 1.0 to 5.0 ohm coils
* 3,0V to 6,0V regulated, in 0,1V increments.
* Displays current power left with load and w/o load.
* Shorted coil indicator.
*Coil pre-heating function. Might come in handy on cold days or when we`re using thicker e-liquids.
- Eight pre-defined heating characteristics (A1 to A8)
- One heating characteristic that can be modified by the user (A9) (we can program up to 8s of heating in 0.5s periods)
- Programable cutoff time (5 to 15s)
- Button block - press it 4 times and then hold for more than 1.5s to block the button. Press 4 times again to unblock the button.
- Protection from overdischarging the batteries - you can choose when you want the mod to stop working (between 2.7 and 2.95v per battery [5.4-5.9v total] )
How to use it ?
When we insert the batteries the module is ready to work. We use the single button.
* If we have not used the switch for the last 3-4s, module goes into ‘sleep’ mode. LED display is powered down to save battery life.
* Normal press – Coil is powered up as long as we press the button. LED shows battery voltage under load. Shortly after we release the button, voltage w/o load is displayed. If we compare these two numbers we can see how good our batteries are and we can work out their internal resistance.
* Two clicks – Coil is pre-heating. PH will be displayed on our LED. This will heat the coil with ~35% of preset voltage. Pre-heating will finish after 4s and the device will go back to sleep mode. We can press the button at any time during the pre-heating process to end it and start
vaping using our set parameters.
* Three clicks – Voltage increase mode. Each following click will increase voltage in 0.1v increments. When we set the desired voltage, we need to wait 3-4s for the device to save our settings.
*Four clicks – Voltage decrease mode. Each following click will decrease voltage in 0.1v increments. When we set the desired voltage, we need to wait 3-4s for the device to save our settings.
* Five clicks – Mode select:
To check what all the A1 - A8 programs do you can go to
Krzywa grzania « TayVoy and scroll down to the table where you have these explained in detail. P1 to P9 are 0.5s "intervals" that can be programmed for A9 and in A1 to A8 show how much voltage will be delivered to the atty/carto when we keep the button pressed. Let`s assume that we set the voltage to 5.0 V and we set A2 just to show how it goes. When we press the button the coil will get 2.5v for half a second, 3.5v for next half a second, then 4v for half a second, 5.5v in the next "time period" and later on it will stay on 5v - untill the end of the whole 8s cycle. Then - if we keep the button pressed - the cycle will repeat, droping the voltage to 2.5 v and slowly ramping to it to 5v and keeping it at 5v for the reminder of the cycle.
As for A9 characteristic - it is a bit more tricky (but if we want to spend some time it can be quite rewarding). A9 lets us set up the whole 5s "heating cycle" that we would like - we can adjust the % of the voltage set by us to create a rising or falling "program" or one that will let`s say fluctuate between 50% of the set voltage and 150% of the aforementioned voltage.
Customizing A9 :
We press the button 5 times and then keep it pressed for more than 1.5s. The display will show "P1" and then a number between 0.5 and 1.5 (check bottom of
Krzywa grzania « TayVoy for clarification). Each press of the button will now increase the given value in 0.1 incriments untill we go past 1.5 (then it will go back to 0.5). If the button is not pressed for 2 seconds, we will go to P2 and again we will get the number that we can set and so on and so forth. The numbers (0.5 to 1.5) mean the percentage of the set voltage that will be delivered to the atty (0.5 will be 50% of our preset, 1.5 will be 150% of the preset) for each of the programmed 0.5s periods.
Thanks to this we can set the mode that will be to our liking - be it a steadly increasing mode that will deliver a harder hit at the end or a hard-hitting start followed by a smooth, cooler vape.
the rest of the functions - that is blocking the button and programming the cutoff time and so on will be translated after the weekend
to be continued...
