I think someone should send the president one of these as a gift. Since I heard he was a smoker and having such a hard time of quitting. I don't think he wanted to quit, he was being pressured and all the negative reports, etc.

My understanding is he already was given one. Can't remember where on here I read it, but someone posted a link to it before.

Like cuban cigars, the e-cig will be denied to all but the upper class in Washington. Talk about double standards.

OK, since almost all politicians are lawyers, I guess this one fits....

You know where the word "POLITICS" comes from?

It's from the Latin root word "poly", which means many.

    And "ticks", which are blood-sucking parasites! :D ;-) :D

Probably the best definition I have ever read. And it makes sense. :D

That's a misread - it is Representative Stearns, who is the one who gave an ecig to President Obama and to House Minority Leader John Boehner, who had been seen using his ecig in Pelosi's waiting room.

Ahhh - so it seems - sorry - That "he" was closest to Obama - Anyway - It does seem he has one - So he has probly used it -

How much would that picture be worth I wonder ?

You know, if Obama vapes he might even be a secret member of this forum. How cool would that be?

Man, I sure hope he didn't see the lawyer jokes...8-o

I don't know if any one caught this but on the Material Safety Data Sheet he provides states " Inhalation:
Low hazard for usual industrial handling. May cause respiratory
    tract irritation."
I'm sorry but respiratory tract irritation sounds a lot better then cancer. Just my 2 cents worth. Sorry if this has been posted by someone else. I just like to check their references.

I agree, but we have to remember that it takes decades to determine what the effects of long term exposure to this stuff does. It may turn out that PG is just as likely to cause cancer after prolonged chronic exposure as tobacco is. I seriously doubt it, and all signs point to it being safer by an order of magnitude, but let's not put the cart before the horse. The fact of the matter is that we don't really know what the exact health implications of using a PV are yet.

True, we dont know the exact health implications of inhaling the ecig cocktail repeatedly over a prolonged period of time, but PG has been used for decades in food items, including soda pop. So, it's been widely consumed in large quantities by the general public for an extremely long time. I do realize that ingestion and inhalation are two different things; just saying...

yea - and that's only listed as low risk - some folks are irritated by it so they use the VG - And that's all it is - irritation that goes away when exposure stops - not a long term or chronic change to the body - kinda like the old - Hey doc it hurts when I do this! - Well - Don't DO THAT! From everything I have read you are much more likely to suffer long term health problems from breathing the air in a mall parking lot - Several carcinogenic compounds floating about in alarminly high concentrations there and on any given city street - To be safe we really should - BAN MALLS AND PETROLEUM PRODUCTS!

    Cigarette smoke may contain carbon-monoxide!
You mean like THE AIR on the highway?!? :D

it has been inhaled for a mighty long time too - Asthma medication is delivered with it -= Would we really being giving something to an Asthma patient that is detrimental to the respiratory system?
