I've been considering visiting my local jeweler to have some contacts and maybe buttons and stuff silver plated, but haven't found the time. Probably gonna be expensive. I know in the automotive world having things rechromed is so outrageous its just not monetarily feasable for most

I did went with a jeweler to do the same but he told me that he uses certain chemicals to either plate in gold color or silver color but not really good or silver so I didn't go for our nor I asked the price, not sure about the conductivity

Gold and silver plating is in fact gold or silver.

It won't really improve conductivity of your mod.
Plated contacts ( silver, gold, Rhodium plated) are easier to keep clean, so it's easier to maintain a good contact.

It's not the value I was just looking for the most conductivity possible. I heard claims it's more conductive however I really don't know that stuff well but with some newer mechs having this plating I figured I would look into it.

Plating a mod with a micro thin layer of rhodium won't increase conductivity.

The reason some companies plate contacts with Rhodium is because rhodium doesn't tarnish like copper for example.
You can simply wipe rhodium clean with a cloth.

If it's for looks have at but its gonna be waaay up there. Conductivity won't change a bit and honestly. Copper is extremely effective at conducting electricity, depending on the quality of the copper.

Neat fact at the Hoover dam when they ran the electrical wires, it was a hollow copper wire (like an empty copper mod) with a solid wire on the inside floating. Increased efficiency, magnetism, interfence and such. If the Hoover can pump it through hollow copper, your good to go,lol.
