Getting at an EVO battery connector

I was trying to separate the battery connector from one of my EVO bats so I could take a shot at a 401 juice box. I tried heating it for quite some time to loosen the glue with no luck so I took the other end off, gutted the contents and then combined heating with slamming a screwdriver down it to punch it out.

No luck. I ended up have to cut the battery close to the connector and peeling the rest of the body off but got a bit sloppy and damaged the threads a bit.

Anyone know a reasonable way to get at the connector? I'd rather not hardwire an atomizer if I can avoid it.

Hi Nuck, I believe those connectors are press fitted as well as glued. I did see a pic somewhere where to get the connector they used a dremel with a cutting disk to carefully split the casing. Then use pliers to peel the casing open to get the connector out intact. I don't know if you will need any heat to loosen doing it this way.

Thanks. I just picked up a dremel 2 days ago so it should help. I can't believe how hard they are to bust apart.

The hard to get apart part does speak well of the build quality in my opinion though, good luck with your mod Nuck.
