Hey!

As you can tell by my profile, I used to hang out here a while back. To make a long story relatively short, I posted here for a while when I was getting started, then stopped hanging around due to being a busy college student. A few months after that, I switched to snus. I got tired of fighting with batteries and the inherent messiness and fuss of 510 dripping, and snus was a simple and cheap alternative. But by now, the advent of the PACT act has caused snus prices to nearly double, and the constant uphill struggle of brushing my teeth 3+ times a day to prevent staining has worn me out. I dug out my e-cig box the other day, and have been happily vaping ever since. Going from 10-12 sterk portions a day, to 1 or 2, has really reminded me why I enjoyed vaping so much in the first place. Additionally, things have changed a lot since I was here, which is why I'm posting looking for some advice.

1. The eGo looks like an amazing rig, and is one of the big reasons why I'm so confident about switching back. It seems to me like the removable PT is going to completely solve my battery woes while still keeping me portable, and I like the fact that the cone apparently keeps mess to a minimum... With my order, though, I'm going to be buying a new set of attys. My 510 ones are on the fritz, and I'm wondering if I shouldn't get a new kind. Specifically, the 901 is a rig I was always interested in. I love the large amounts of vapor that the 510 puts out, but I'm not necessarily too worried about TH. Just generally speaking, how do the two attys compare? Performance is a huge factor, of course, but I dislike constantly spending money on replacement parts, so durability's a big factor as well. Thoughts? I'm open to any atty suggestions really, 901 was just the one to occur to me. I'm not a big cartomizer fan.

2. I've also been looking at the eGo mega atomizer. How does it compare to the 510 or 901? I mostly dripped in the past, but I've also been increasingly curious about trying the blue foam cart mod. Does the eGo atty/cart work well with blue foam? Or does the stock filling work just fine? I've had bad experiences with filler getting singed, but if it's a problem that's been solved, that's okay too.

3. Back when I was vaping, American juice makers were just getting started, and Dekang made up the vast majority of all juice purchases. Fairly shortly before quitting though, I discovered Tasty Vapor and it was miles better than Chinese-made juice, so I'm wondering if anybody has some other juice vendor/flavor recommendations? Any of your favorites, really. I enjoy the sweet dessert vapes as much as the next guy, but I'd also be interested in flavored tobacco juices. Even after I switched to American juice, I still kept Dekang RY4 on hand, and I would love to find a well-done American remake of the basic RY4 flavor.

Lastly, I'm open to any general advice about getting started again. Anyways, sorry that this turned in to a novel, but I wanted to explain my situation fully. Thanks for the help in advance!

A lot has changed sense you were last here , there are now LR attys Variable voltage mods , LOTS of new juice etc. etc.
to me the 901 has more flavor a Low resistance atty is hotter and can kill the flavor so ?
Ego's are all over the place with several battery sizes that last fairly long ( as far as I know , I do not use one )

I also use Tastyvapors Tobacco juice it gets good reviews and is very consistant.

Welcome BACK to the VAPE !

Thanks for the response!

I don't know if I'm too interested in LR attys or variable voltage mods. With the LR attys, I've always been pretty satisfied with normal attys, and I've heard that they cut down its life expectancy by quite a lot, which I don't like. As for mods, well... It just doesn't seem like my thing. I do value low-profile looking rigs, better for vaping in public with a minimum of weird looks... and I've read about batteries leaking, which seems like more fuss and risk than I'm after. My main complaint with the rigs I used in the past was battery life and consistency, and it seems like the eGo has addressed both problems beautifully.

I do have a stock of TV Tobacco, actually. It's good, but a little plain, you know? Maybe a little woody, even. It's a very pure pipe tobacco flavor, which is good, but I'm looking for flavors that are a little more complex. Which is why I loved RY4 so much, having those vanilla and god-knows-what-else undertones. I'm considering doing another TV order, and mix in a few flavors of my own, but I'm just wondering if there are any other must-try mixers. :D

EDIT: Looking at the TV site, I see they also have a flavor named "Geoff's Blend". I'm intrigued, but it doesn't describe it at all. Anybody tried it?

I'm a big fan of 901 attys, I have a bunch of them and 2 lonely unloved 510s. The 901s are better for flavor(IMO).The 901s don't get as hot,and seem to put off a little less vapor. The 901s also are hardier(again IMO),in the 5+ months I've been vaping I have only killed 1 901,and that was debridging gone wrong.
I'm not big on tobacco flavors, but Freedom Smoke USA seems to get a lot of raves for it's RY4

Thanks, Sarah! I'm still definitely looking for more opinions, but the 901's looking pretty appealing at this point. As long as it still produces a good amount of vapor, I don't mind if it outputs slightly less. And while I'm not unhappy with the flavor the 510 delivers, even more does sound pretty good.

I'll look in to Freedom Smoke USA's RY4 too. Has anybody heard about or tried Liberty Flight's RY4? I'm going to be buying my eGo parts from them anyways, so it'd be nice to buy all of this from one place. If they have Dekang juice, though, I'll probably pass. I mean, not that it's bad, but I already have it and am after new flavors.
