Getting back into vaping - gear suggestions

I quit vaping a while ago (never smoked and only did 0 nic juice) due to being busy but recently I've gotten some spare time on my hands and I am missing having a vape. Particularly the coil wrapping and experimentation.

My setup was a protank 2 with a low end variable wattage battery. I don't have any of that gear anymore but I'd like to stick to the same idea - compact and easy to build coils for.

I don't really want to get the PT3 since it's dual coil, but I would like to try something other than the Pt2 since I was kind of disappointed with its ceiling for vapor production, even with cotton wicks.

I'd like to stick to something that's easy to rebuild. I was pretty decent at rebuilding the Kanger atomizers but I don't know how the other common types of attys compare as far as "noob friendliness" goes.

I'm fine with shelling out for a high end tank as long as it's well designed and high quality. Replaceable parts are important for me too.

TLDR: Recommend me a tank with semi decent vapor production and an easily rebuildable atty. Insight on whether a super fancy battery really does matter or not would also be appreciated.
