Oh, you lost control of this thread a LONG time ago Mr. Kin. :D

Lose the kayfun, seriously. But yeah, that build will do it.

Ha ha apparently! I love the Kayfun though! I also have an orchid which I finally got working after taking a drill to the channels, now it works like a dream. I'm going to do that build on my Kayfun tonight!

Ya killin' me smalls!

lol it's all good budday! Do you vape the Virus?

Yeah, I currently build my kayfun at 3.25mm, so I may need to go down from there! At 3.25mm, it just seems that the channels can't supply enough juice to thoroughly saturate the wicks for each draw. I find myself taking priming draws every three hits or so.

I just want to thank everyone that responded, you rock!

That much wick is also restricting your juice channels and air flow.

Yep. Love the stuff. Tried a 15 ml sample and ordered 50 ml two days later. Haven't tried it in the kayfun since it is lower nic for dripping. Plan on ordering some higher nic Virus for the kayfun very soon....like tomorrow. Lol.

I just picked up an AGA-T7 RTA today from my local vape shop. Whoa. This thing is amazing... my three other attys are Kayfuns. The Kayfuns are great, but this thing performs like my magma with the convenience of a tank style/ADV atty. First juice I put in it is some ~4 week steeped Virus, super tasty! The deck is set up for dual coil, but I'm using a single coil Ni200 with my DNA40 device. 28AWG 12 wrap/.17ohm contact coil on a 3.1mm (1/8") mandrel wrapped super tight. DNA40 set at 20watts/450F and I'm in heaven ... I think. Not sure where I am. Had to hold on to the counter after a couple pulls.

Thanks! I'm loving the DNA40 so far, such an innovative device/idea. Haven't had one dry/burnt hit, the thing won't allow it! My wicks are clean, my coils stay "pretty" ... I'm definitely on board with this as the future of vaping. Props to protovapor and their QA ... a lot of people have been having glitchy boards/device issues with the first batch of DNA40 devices, the Protovapor has been absolutely fantastic.

Nickel is an absolute pain to deal with at first: very soft, anything over 28AWG is unmanageable IMHO. Just have to be prepared for this. After 4-5 practice coils, I was able to get it down using a jig and wrapping TIGHT (anchor one end of the wire to something, pull tight as you wrap).

As for the AGA ... I'm going to continue testing with another tank or two, after that I may order a couple more. For only $30, very well worth it for a high quality (Chinese) authentic RTA with performance similar to my Magma RDA!

Ha ha I know, I was just giving the Lemo folks some crap. Yeah, I mean, my other thread in the NT forum was solved in about 5 posts, yet it shot up to nearly 100 over the rest of the day. lol

That much wick is also restricting your juice channels and air flow.

Yeah, I always made sure to never cover the juice channel. I would put the base of the chimney on and use a small screwdriver to push the wicks up against the block to keep the channels open. I don't have to do that anymore though!

11/10 wraps of 26 gauge on a 3/32" (2.38125mm) mandrel for 1.1 ohms. I tried to mirror Distorto's wick setup... It's amazing. I did about 75% Virus to 25% CLS. This is absolute heaven. I guess I can officially announce: I've been infected! I'm terminal.

Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone!

Man that is great news. I've really been contemplating picking up a VS dna 40 but I'm just not ready to jump in the water yet. Seems to be lots of issues other folks are having so I plan on waiting to see how it all plays out. I do plan on buying a VS rdna so in the future I can throw a dna 40 board in there.

My 2c on TV... I don't really dig it in the KFL+ myself... But, I really only do Gravity and Betelgeuse in the R91 and the KFL+... Aside from the reo, I have been getting great results from the plumeveil 1.5 on top of the BCV Surfrider, right around . 5 ohms, airflow wide open

Haha Kent, I'm most definitely still new but have become a very big fan of your products very quickly! :D I'm the guy from ol' Altoona, IA. If you're referring to the AGA-T7, it's rather old, I think ;)

On the topic of this thread - I just filled my two brand new eLeaf Lemos up with fresh Wakonda and Gravity - both new-to-me liquids received on Monday. Both are fantastic in the Lemo! 28AWG Ni200 10 wrap spaced coils wicked with Koh-Gen-Do on a DNA40. A fantastic atty producing great flavor as long as the airflow is tightened up a bit (super airy device)... I'm experiencing slightly different flavors based on selected temperature. Still playing with the temperature between 400 and 450. It's good no matter what, just trying to determine what temperature my brain thinks may be "better". I also find myself wanting slightly different variations of flavor depending on the time of day and what I may be drinking at the time, whether that be coffee, water, soda, or an adult beverage. Too many variables ... brain overload!

Damn brother, I think you just caused half a dozen new folks to grab their trusty vape lingo dictionary. I really appreciate the detail though... Wow, dynamic info!
