I know TV ads are super expensive
Radio is less so but still can be expensive.

So what can we do? I know some cable companies let you make and air your own little shows and not many people watch them. Seriously we need exposure as a community.

I've been thinking about this too . . .

I don't know :(

The fact that the NY Bill is sponsored by ALL DEMS might be a decent angle to get Fox involved BUT they may just chalk it up to "well NY is mainly democratic"

ON THE OTHER SIDE

Keith Olbermann of MSNBC likes to do rants about injustice

Any thoughts?

What we have right now is the internet. We could start a media blitz and hit up other forums in their off-topic discussions. Discuss that it has helped you and maybe get more people on board. Start the discussion on another board that your already a member of.

We can contact local news agencies and get on TV, get interviews, get quotes published in local news papers.

We ALL need to write up a letter which we can send off to whoever deemed necessary. I have mine written up and I am going to be sending it out to the NY politicians tomorrow. Do you have yours?

We just have to start using the tools that are right in front of us. As Gary Vaynerchuk said, we have to "get in the trenches". Maybe we have to start picking fights on the web to get the real information out there. We HAVE to get at least 200 people to Digg articles to get them to the front page, not the ~20-30 that I have been seeing.

I think as a community we just have to organize ourselves a bit better. We need people like Sun and Vocalek telling us to post here, write a letter to this person, and Digg this to get our voices out there. Just look at what Obama did with his campaign and the use of the internet.
