Getting lost on ECF

Not open for further replies.
Guys, I'm new here.

Somehow I accidentally achieved three of the required 5 posts.
Then I apparently broke a 'spam rule' without realizing it.

I'm now having trouble locating a "Reply" button to make any comments in the New Members area.
I see many "closed threads".

Is there a Road Map for the site anywhere? I see no signpost saying "make your first five posts here".

HELP!!!!

You should be able to reply to any posts in the new members forum, after 5 it should be wide open for you.

Go in and read the forum rules, there are quite a few but they are for good reasons (protecting the sites integrity, protecting members, etc)

ECF Forum Rules

So, how long have you been vaping and what equipment are you using?

Welcome to ECF!

I wonder if you're trying to post in the 'simple solutions' sub-section of the new members forum. Those threads get closed after they receive a few answers. Try here, New Members Forum , it's one level up and you should be able to start threads and reply there without difficulty.

I've been steaming (as I prefer to call it) for more than 2 years.
I currently use rebuildable bottom coil (2 ohm) "SMOK" with clear plastic tank and a rechargeable 1000 mAh ego-T battery.
I am just embarking on DIY juice mixing and want some help with the Excel-based e-juice calculator (which I've already downloaded (version 14).

I can, and have, read "ECF Forum Rules" (several times, trying to find my way through this digital maze). I know "New members must post 5 times in the New Members forum". My problem is that there is no clear indication on where I can find an "open" thread in the "New Members" area to post a comment on. This thing (ECF) is not well-explained for one who "knows nothing" about ECF. Sorry if that sounds like an idiotic thing to say, but I know I'm not an idiot. I'm just not familiar with how a "forum" works.

Every "sticky" thread I open seems to be locked.

All the stickies in the new members forum are locked. They are posts by admin helping to explain ECF and can only be opened and replied to by them. If you scroll through the normal threads there are many you can reply too.

Looks like that was post #5 for you, after the servers refresh (I forget the exact time) the captain will turn off the seatbelt light and you should be free to move about the cabin.

DIY is a great $ saver and can be really fun & rewarding, be sure to check out that forum,

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/

the stickies there have some invaluable information.
