Ive read that the smoktek SS telescope mod has wires in the top cap going from the pin.

Which is part of what makes this confusing for people...

Because, as such, it's not a mechanical

Mechanicals have their own issues, techniques and... fans.

Enough, I would think, to warrant their own forum.

It really comes down to cross-over.

How much shared information is there between a Provari and a GGTS?

How much unique info is there between electronic APVs and Mechanical mods?

As OS said though -- regardless of being a different method of achieving a constant voltage device, ultimately thats what they are. Any confusion could be easily alleviated by an end user, simply by doing some proper research instead of skimming the topics, or expecting others to answer things for them. All of the knowledge to learn it is already there -- and IMO this site has enough subforums as it is (possibly too many -- theres dozens, possibly hundreds, that I've never even looked in!).. adding more subforums will make the same data harder to track down from a cursory glance.

Agreed... there are a lot of silly sub-forums... Separate Cartomizer and Clearomizer subs? Really?

But, I still think Mechanicals are such very different creatures... they don't even use the same batteries as regulated mods.

No worries... just thought I'd toss it out there... find out why we don't have a separate forum(Answer: because the mods/admin feel they are very similar to regulated mods)...

I'll just continue correcting people and hope they do the research...

Honestly... at some point in the not to distant future... the entire site is probably going to need an overhaul... the industry is changing fast.
