Getting my first ECIG today!

So i should be receiving my first ecig today in the mail. I ordered the Ego-T 1000 mah kit from myfreedomsmokes.com, they had the cheapest price that I could find only at only $49.99. Hopefully its the real deal ego and not some knock off. I am not a big time smoker but I really enjoy smoking so I am looking forward to trying this safer alternative that I can smoke more. I usually only smoke cigars, black & milds, cloves and pipes but with all the flavors that ecigs have to offer im looking forward to smoking all kinds of different stuff. Does anyone have any first timer tips tricks or must read forum post or articles?

I have been reading up for the past couple of weeks and I have to say that e-cigarette-forum is the best resource for information. I kinda have buyers remorse about the ego-t after reading a lot of things about how the tank system is MEH but I also ordered some Cartomizers to try both worlds and see which I like better. Thanks to all you guys and happy vaping :vapor:

I am one happy eGo-T owner, although the wife sometimes complains about leaking. Maybe it's because she hits it like she's power-sucking a milkshake? Juice in the mouth means you're hitting it too hard, dear. I draw mine in slowly, like you do with a pipe or cigar. You should be good to go. PLUS... there's tons of cartos that'll get rid of any leakage problems.

I'm fairly new to the eGo - three weeks now, and have the tank, regular resistance cartos, LR cartos, LR dual-coil cartos. When you start out, it's a little effort to find that perfect fit. I'm settling down a little bit, but still like hitting all of the attys and cartos.

Welcome to ECF and the journey of vaping. Hope you enjoy it!

i started with an ego-t rebranded(tornado tank)-
thankfully i found this forum, learned about 510 threading and cartomizers.
Cartos and LR atties saved me from the constant vaping head ache that the tank system was for me.
Leaking was not so bad for me, as long as i didn't let the atty heat up too much(it seemed everytime i let the atty heat up too much i had atty juice backwash coming though the air channels into the mouthpiece)
having to pace myself on vapes that much, fiddling with the mouthpiece to make sure it lined up(ima lil ocd), and the lack of flavour at times drove me nuts.
Cartos and dripping though, i just wanted to sing the Whole New World song from Aladdin.

You did great! Congrats to you. With the versatility, if you don't like tanks, throw on a carto. In a month or so jump in and try dripping if you want. It's fun to experiment with equipment. You have a 510 threaded PV with many options. Good job! Once I stopped stressing about the perfect setup I enjoyed experiencing the flavor difference in a cartomizer, atomizers etc. Have fun!

Well I got my ego-t and tried a few flavors really interesting vape. It does seem to take a while to change flavor once you change tanks. Some of the flavors don't seem as strong as I remember when I first tried a e cig. I don't know if it's the set up,the flavors or tank system. I haven't really seen much about myfreedomsmokes flavors so it might just be there flavors aren't as strong. I still really like it but now I guess it's the quest for the best flavors. I'm all goofy from the nicotine I haven't been a big time smoker and smoke a couple ml of juice in 3-4 hours but other than that I'm really enjoying it. Thanks for all you guys help.

Welcome to the world of vaping Jason.

The reason it takes a while for the flavor to change is because the atty will still have the last flavor on it when changing tanks. The only way around it is to also clean the atty when changing tanks or to have different attys for different flavors or at least different flavor groups. One for tobacco based and a different one for fruits, etc. To tell if it's the flavor or the tank try using the same flavor in the tank and then in one of your cartos to compare.

If you feel you are getting too much nicotine than I would also reduce the strength of your next juice order.
