I quit smoking years ago for the usual obvious reasons...stinks, fiance hated it, bad mouth taste, health, etc. All of 6 years now I have missed that nicotine as well as the social aspect of smoking. My brother-in-law just moved here from across the country & introduced me to his Vmax E-Cig...it peaked my interest a bit. Being the health obsessed person I am, I started hours of research into vaping, primarily into the ingredients used to make the e-liquids. After a while I stumbled upon the Virgin Vapor FAQ page via a google search. After reading that, my interest in vaping went from 10% to about 95% as I try to keep anything non-organic out of my diet & home...plus, I am a Vegan & my fiance a Vegetarian, so that was a win as well. When looking into it more, it appeared that many people absolutely love the E-Liquids provided there. To the point, it looks like I am taking the plunge tomorrow & ordering an ProVari setup to start my journey. I have heard good things about a lot of the flavors offered & am interested in SO many of them...some good suggestions for a beginner would be much appreciated. Also, not to sound cheap, but if there is some kind of coupon, discount code, &/or special deal for beginners, I could certainly use it after the ProVari purchase hits my wallet & would much appreciate it.

EDIT: Also, I hear that you don't quite get the flavor as strongly if you go 100% VG, that you need to have a blend with PG...I was trying to avoid PG without sacrificing enjoyment, but would like to hear some other thoughts on this.

Welcome, Cyprus! I'm in almost exactly the same boat as you... I quit smoking at age 21 when I got pregnant and stayed quit for six years. But I'll be damned if a day didn't go by that I didn't want a cigarette. I <3 vaping. :)

I don't agree whatsoever about VG based juices lacking flavor. However, you might want to try a bottle of 100% VG, an 80/20

From what I can tell, there are either 100% VG or 50/50 blends only in the Virgin Vapors...which is the brand I am most interested in right now. I may branch out a little at some point but only if they are organic as I don't like artificial flavoring in my body. Based on what I have studied about Propylene Glycol, it is used as a carrier for the flavor. This is the same for it's application in skin care products, it helps the other ingredients absorb faster & more thoroughly. So I can see how people would feel that way about it. But if I just stayed with 100% VG all the time, I would never make that association myself & wouldn't notice a lack of flavor...theoretically. Has this been your experience? Have you tried the same flavors from a company with different ratios?

I don't notice a lack of flavor whatsoever. VV juices are FULL of flavor. I have used other companies and I currently only use Virgin Vapors. Being that you're getting a provari, it will work out awesomely for you to find each flavor's "sweet spot"- different flavors taste different at varying voltages. For example, I like my Konas at only 3.8, but I crank my cinnamon up to 4.4.

If you want a custom VG/PG blend in the future you can note in the the comments section when ordering. Annette will custom mix anything you like. :)

What flavors are you ordering? My favorites are Red Hot Cinnamon, Plum Crazy, Bella Amaretto... I could go on and on. Really, I think I've only tried two that I straight up disliked. They're all pretty fantastic.

Welcome Cyprus!
Like Redhen said...no lack of flavour for me at 100%vg. Actually, I don't notice a difference in the strength of the flavour in juices where I've tried the same flavour in a 50/50 and a 100%. Annette's juices are formulated accordingly.

I also agree with Red on the flavours she listed! :p Yum!

What types of flavours are you thinking of?

I'm still stuck on the Cart page with 10 flavors & 2 samplers with 3 flavors each...trying to decide which ones to cut for now to save money as well as whether to get 100% VG or not. I hate ordering something then wishing I had gotten something else, but I also hate placing 2 orders so close together that I pay for shipping twice lol. I have been spoiled by Amazon Prime over the years for the majority of purchases so I never worried about shipping costs. Here are the flavors I have picked out right now, some of which I will have to remove to save some cash:

Wintergreen (might remove)
Wild Watermelon (might remove)
Vanilla Peach Swirl
Vanilla Chai Latte
Root Beer Float
Spearmint Kiss
Orange Creamsicle (might remove)
Not-so-virgin Eggnog (might remove)
Naked Vanilla (might remove)
Menthol Moon Drops (might remove)

In the samplers:
Absolute Virgin Sampler:
Celestial Honeydew
Dark Roast Turkish Coffee
Death by Chocolate

Standard Organic Sampler:
Blueberry Cheesecake
Chocolate Cake
Banana Coconut Colada

I marked the ones that would probably be my first choice to go. I wish I could afford to just buy a bottle of every flavor that sounds good but that just isn't reality so I will just have to try them all in stages. But again, I'm a bit torn about whether to go 100% VG or to add some PG. My brother-in-law insists that you don't get a great flavor hit without PG but I am prone to believe that is just his personal opinion...

Why don't you try a bottle at 50/50. The samples are 100 vg.....that way you'll find what works best for you.
I'd suggest the Vanilla Latte over the Dark Roast personally ...and if you want a colada of sorts...the Pineapple Party Animal has some big fans. Also the Butter Cream Mint is a great one to start off with. It was my first and the smell alone...delicious!

Soo many flavours to try! Enjoy :)

I agree with LouP's advice... maybe order a smaller bottle of a 50/50 or an 80/20... but chances are you'll like the 100% VG. Like I said, the only problem that I've had with it is that it gums up my coils pretty quickly.

Pineapple Party Animal is OUTSTANDING!

Wild Watermelon is pretty good... It's more of a sour watermelon flavor than the juicy watermelon. It has pretty substantial throat hit, which is why it's not one that I would re-order. It is tasty though.

Death By Chocolate has more of a chocolate liquor taste than a real chocolate taste, in my opinion.

Celestial Honeydew is so appropriately named... it's heavenly. If you find that you like that flavor you will also probably like Plum Crazy, Hawaiian White Guava, and Forbidden Fig. :)

Thanks for the advice...I will take a look at those flavors. I plan to order a bottle or so of the 50/50 to match a sample flavor so that I can compare them.

I heard good things about the turkish coffee & am a bit of a coffee snob who drinks it black, so I am curious about it.

As for the Colada flavor, it interested me more for the banana & coconut than anything...2 things that I LOVE.

Butter Cream Mint may just have to jump into the mix though...sounds awsome.

Does anyone know of any current promotional codes?

Just ordered a handful of samples & 1/4 oz bottles to try out...wrote down all the other flavors you guys suggested for my next purchase. Couldn't get that code to work but that's ok...maybe there will be a future promotion I can save a little on. Also picked up a couple Cherry Vape Dream tips...they look so cool. Should be vaping sometime next week! :)

I started at 12mg for all of the bottles I ordered. My brother-in-law likes the 18mg & we were similar smokers who both quit on the same day...but he has been using e-cigs most of that time. If it isn't strong enough, I will step it up a notch on my next order. I also need to order some 0mg flavors for my fiance as she is interested in some of the flavors but has no interest in the nicotine.

Both the hubby & I quit smoking last February...we are just now kicking down the nicotine & we are on Annettes extra high at 24 mg. The samples are good way to taste but the nic level is an absolute waste for us :) I pass them on for others to try.

Hubby was a former menthol smoker & he LOVES Annette's Wintergreen....I am not a minty girl & the Butter Cream Mint is amazing!! Spearmint Kiss is quite poweful for a mint lover.

As far as the PG goes...since you don't vape and as you said...probably won't know the difference... why risk it & why start there? Our local shop does 50/50 & we desperately wanted away from PG each for unexplained issues & upon more research I decided maybe PG issues had developed. You don't need PG & Annettes juices vape just fine with great vapor. Delivery device issues...perhaps but it's all disposables at this point anyway.

As for your flavor line up...that is the hardest part...finding what you LOVE & what works for am all day vape for you. I don't do fruity flavors but I have tried the naked vanilla & the blueberry cheesecake...i found both quite light & the favors barely detechable but i tried right out the bottle samples...my Blueberry cheescake has been around steeping for weeks & I still find it "light" I so wanted to love that one...i do need to get it out of my ViVi at 2.8 & try it in my Visions at 1.8 just to be sure. I really love the Cream Caramel & the Kona Velvet Milkshake has really grown on me for the evenings. I loved the smell of the Bella amaretto it smells spot on to "Disaronno" but I found it light in flavor & kinda perfumey on the exhale...weird...it's been steeping for weeks too. i will try it again.

I have hit a hard taste bud wall though...probably all me

It's ok, I wasn't going to hold off ordering just to see if I could score a deal...wanted to have juice on the way as soon as I could. Good thing I did too, as I didn't realized you guys were moving & shipping would be delayed lol. Hopefully things get up & running for you guys again soon & my order will start it's way to me!
