Getting signed out

this is a brandnew issue for me, as of this morning i'm getting signed out every couple of minutes. no changes were made on my laptop, i'm running windows xp, ie8. any ideas?
i weathered all of the upgrade with just a few problems even though roly expressed his pity for ie users. why now? any help would be appreciated!

this seems to have resolved itself. been good for over an hour now. maybe alex was working on some issues

I'm having the same problem the past few days. 'Remember Me' option is not even there. Running Win 7 - 64 bit using Firefox most of the time.

I am also running windows XP, IE8, and I get logged out after just a few minutes (not sure how many, but it's frequent) if I'm not moving around or doing something active on the forum, other than reading long threads or posting long posts. This has been happening since I originaly registered. Sorry if this has already been addressed. Could someone please tell me how to fix this so that I don't get logged out unless I click the 'log out' button? Thank you.

OK, I found a post that said I needed to click on 'remember me' when I sign in so I signed out, and clicked on this and signed back in, so I'll see if that fixes my prob with being logged out. I thought that would be ... oh, well, I don't get paid for thinking lol

I think it did. I thought the 'remember me' button was for logging in only. Embarassing that I found the post right after I posted ... hope your prob is fixed. It's so frustrating to get logged out frequently. Good luck!

the remember me button was missing for a day or two, once it showed back up again i was back to normal, lol
