Anyone ever get a sort of suction going on when vaping a Grand? I have been swapping different toppers on my vv today and have been noticing I'm getting some kind of suction when I vape, like I'm trying to suck the juice out of the bottle through the driptip. Am I just being greedy and pulling too hard? Wasn't a problem yesterday so I'm a bit confused.

Watcha topping it off with? What kind of devices are you having the problem with?

If it's stock (non-rebuildable) attys or cartos clean out the Reo 510 connector of any liquid sitting in there. Suck - or blow - as much liquid out of the device itself as you can (removed from the Reo, of course), clean the connector on the device as well, and try again. For those devices, something is blocking air flow into the device above it's 510 threading causing you to vacuum up liquids rather than draw air through the atty or carto. Liquid sitting in the Reo 510 connector or excess liquid in the bottom of the device can cause that.

I'm here Dennis, don't worry... Lol

Sum unction though? Are you using an rda or something with airflow on the bottom?
Suction when sucking on the tip... I don't know how to approach this without being blocked lol...
If it's not a side flow rda, kinda makes sense. Otherwise...
Demons? Poltergeists? We need more info buddy!

There is a certain suction involved in a stock atomizer and an open system( well, bottle fed) seriously. What are you using?

Subscribing to this thread because a)this could be fun :)
And b) I want to know whAt your using!

LOL..too funny.

Was a serious question though. Using my vv and rotating through a few different toppers, the RM2 seemed fine and the Cyclone was good as long as I didn't draw too hard. The others must just have slightly resticted airflow meaning I have to ease up on them a bit.

None of the RDAs draw air from the 510 as well as the air hole, right? Talking about toppers like RM2s and Cyclones, not 510 atties.

Ok, good info. First thought is, your hole is too tight, getting a nice suction from connector to tip. Need to open that hole up a bit.... Maybe some toys...
Try a precision screwdriver in the hole, push hard and twist. If it doesn't open up, try your smallest drill bit, vape, and keep working up. Do NOT start with 1/16th!!!

Use some lube if it's a stainless still cap, or things might get.. Difficult.... VG. Actually works fine

At the risk of being banned, the suction may be due to a stiff draw. And I'm not sucking on the driptip until I actually get liquid but I can tell it is close.

OK...stop laughing... It's hard to type the rest of this with tears in my eyes.

I'm fairly certain it has to do with stock airflow. The RM2 seems to be the most open, then the Cyclone, and last but certainly not least the Chalice.

Agreed on all fronts.
Opened up both rm2 and cyclone with screwdriver, with chalice you'll probably need a drill. I did with my stainless steel hornet cap

All good points MoN but I'm afraid, even if I do lube up a tool with VG, I'll get over excited and ruin the hole which I absolutely don't want to do. I need that hole to be just right and if I open it up too much it will be useless and I'll have to give it to someone else.

I may open up the RM2 as I have another, I have an AFC cap on the way for the Cyclone so that will solve that, don't plan on drilling the Chalice.

I know it shouldn't matter because there really shouldn't be any suction between the RDA and the bottle as it is not built that way but it did seem to make a difference when I took the RDA off, cleaned out the 510 and feeder tube, and went back to vaping. Maybe I was over-squonking and that was causing a problem.

Which is why you start with the screwdriver, move up to bigger bits... Do NOT start with 1/16, I say again

Gotcha, I've heard people talk about tiny round files that may be used for making jewelry and such which work well for stuff like this. I may look into that and test on an RM2 cap.

Thanks for the guidance!
