Erm, I bought the stuff online from Vape Juice UK | Premium Ejuice & Eliquid Online | Vape Cloud UK just because I had seen some decent reviews online.
I regardings to Wattage I have no idea sorry, the vape had a long pipe with like a square thing on the side.
The juice, I know I got her a 6, but I don't know if that was too high or too low coz she is only a social smoker who wanted to take the vape out with her when she goes out at the weekend

I imagine it is pretty overwhelming for someone who knows nothing about vaping. Getting started and making the transition from smoking to vaping can be quite an ordeal, as vaping is not as "easy" as smoking.

Look at it this way. When your GF started to smoke cigarettes, chances are that she coughed at first. As her body learned to tolerate the smoke, she probably stopped coughing. The same holds true when switching to vaping. At first she will cough, and as her body adjusts to the vapor the coughing should stop.

You and her should read this blog: Good Starter Setups for a Beginner Vaper
It has a lot of vape information in one place and has links to helpful tips for beginners.

LDave13, could you upload a picture of your GF's vape please.

We would like to know what we're working with.

But as greek mule has said 6mg/ml down to 3mg/ml should be fine.

And depending upon the tank and Vegetable Glycerine (VG), Propylene Glycol (PG) mix of the liquid. It may be a little harsh for her.

PG gives a throat hit, carries flavours well and can be dehydrating.

Vg is smoother on the throat and doesn't carry flavours as well as PG.

So you may need to try a higher VG liquid, as it may be a little easier on your GF. If you're UK based Tooti Frooti isn't a bad choice, is 70%VG/30%PG and comes in 200ml bottles which you add Nicotine Shots to. Pineapple Strawberry she may like.

Honestly? You are getting good advice, but I might add, get thyself and she to a good vape shop (if you have one near you) and she can talk about her preferences, she may be getting TOO much vapor too much nic, too harsh from PG the list goes on and on.

If there is a decent store clerk, she may be able to get questions answered and etc., and find a vape to suit her.

Yes, it is normal to cough a bit during the transition. A WHOLE TON EVERY TIME not so much. I did that when I arrived here with a cloudy setup and 12 mg nic and thinking I needed to vape more, maybe. I did not.

I was very kindly pointed to high nicotine and low power vaping and I have not looked back.

Good luck and welcome.

Lots of people cough. Tell her to hang in there. I searched for your supplier and drew a blank. They're probably ok but reviews are not to be trusted as some vaping companies make it up as nobody stops them. The tobacco companies are the worst for BS. Just avoid brand stores and use an independent shop that sells all the hardware made by an obvious mix of companies.

I went to Vape Cloud UK and their starter kits are name brand stuff. Innokin, Smok and Aspire.

A casual smoker would likely be better off with what we call MTL (mouth-to-lung) style vaping. That would mean lower wattage and less airflow. If the mod (the battery part) allows it, turn the wattage down as low as possible and creep it up until you get enough but not too much vapor. On the atomizer (the part that holds the liquid) if it allows it, turn the airflow to the lowest point and creep it up until you get where you want it.

The liquid choice often requires a lot of trial and error. You can usually find some plain VG, usually just called glycerin, at a local store (walmart or CVS here in the states) or a local vape shop. You can use this to weaken your current liquid as a test but it will also lessen the flavor and nic level.

This was the exact one I bought: Innokin - EZ.WATT

Originally, I was looking for a really thin pen vape that I read were big in America but when using the livechat I was recommend this model because it was in their starter kit set

Hello again LDave13, your link has worked. I even have looked on the Innokin website as well.

A basic starter kit with limited options, sorry to say.

Three watt range levels (13 – 14 / 15 – 18 / 30 – 35).

1.5 & 0.8 ohm coils included, but lowest power level is too much for the 1.5 ohm coil.

You may need another mod to help resolve this issue, as the tank is reasonable yet the mod is meh.

As may I ask, the retailer seriously recommended this mod? They didn't outline all available options to you?

And true, pen style vape mods on the basic end have little to no settings available. But this is a box mod that is essentially like a pen mod.

Fasttech is a good place to remember when buying mods, but as they're in China you have to wait a while. But most importantly, they're cheap and have a lot of items available.

Personally I'd recommend getting a Smoant Battlestar Mini mod for your GF and then you can just swap the tank over. They're cheap, decent and work well. Only downside is that you'd need some 18650 batteries and a charger, as it's not really recommended to charge batteries in mods.

Here's a couple of Battlestar Mini's, with 10p for scale.

Approximately £20 from fasttech, with free delivery. The Yellow actually looks pretty good in person.

Just read some more info on the Endura T20S tank, was originally included in a vape pen kit and has no airflow control. That's not right, it's nice to have a little control.

I've got some Vaporesso Drizzle tanks coming from China soon, supposed to be good at mouth to lung style vaping (supposed similar to smoking a cigarette). They have airflow control and are also sold as a pen kit, the Drizzle Kits can be had for less than £18 in the UK with free delivery.

When I get them I can give you more info on them.
