To expand in jrlakeman's advice to give her ample time... That's what did it for me. My buddy, Big Mike (aka the Hill Giant from Giant Vapes) would say "hey, check this out.... Taste this... Try this...look at my new mod/tank/coil". I had tried ecigs a few times, but it hadn't caught. Then... I was ready and he shoved yet another thing into my hand (in a living kinda Hill Giant way) and said "check this out". A week or two later I asked him to set me up with "that combo I liked the night we were out at the brewpub".
Basically... Roll out the welcome mat, extend the invitation and be there as a resource. If she feels like she has to "make it work", she (and you) put a lot of pressure on that mod/topper/juice combo. If it doesn't click, then she (if she had a similar smoker mentality/ identity that I did) will say "vaping ain't it". If she's just exploring, there's less pressure, and in some ways, more opportunity to find the right Vape because if one thing doesn't work, there's no failure, because there was less invested.

But, keep in mind... This is justy experience, and this whe vaping thing is the most YMMV endeavor around.

Good luck and good on ya for taking in the role of Vape mentor for mom.

Swing as its mothers day I thought it would be a good time to ask. My mom has been smoking for 20 some odd years or so now and she's tried to quit several times to no avail. She's skeptical of vapeing but open to it enough that I think with the right set up and juice she could make the switch. Any advice on where to start her at? She smokes 2-3 packs a day
I have been vapeing for four years.Iwas a 5 pack a day smoker and thought i would never be able to quit.My wife bought me a box mod a bunch of cartomizers and some 26mg Ry4 .Nither one of us has smoked a cigarette since we got our first order. If you can get her to try it you could start out with lower nic level and adjust up or down.Good luck i hope she becomes a vaper for both your sakes.

Thanks guys, I currently cape on an itazte ep with a smok top coil tank and it works well for me, I was thinking of getting her a similar set up the only problem with it is how klunky and ugly it is

An EP is not big and clunky compared to a lot of what people have been recommending. If you have a brick and mortar shop nearby, then it is probably a good idea to take her there to see the different choices. I know that when I started (after 40+ years at 1 1/2 to 2 PAD) I actually wanted something that looked and felt different than a cigarette.

I've been happiest with Itaste VV v3s and a V4. If she does like the looks of the Isticks, then get a 30w, not the 20, since the 20s had quite a few problems. A bottom coil clearo is way easier to use than a top coil in my opinion. As mentioned above, with a top coil you end up having to fiddle a bit to keep the wick wet.

Get her something pink thats how i got my gf to quit as long as its feminine looking she loves it. All jokes aside if shes tried multiple times to quit then the will to do is there. I think she will enjoy vaping after she gets over the whole its not the same as smokeing mind set. A nautilus comes to mind with the cotton bvc coils should be easy enough to maintain for her. Maybe a istick or something along those lines plug to charge like a phone nice and simple and leaves a little room to grow in the future. Far as juice shes a heavy smoker im thinking 24mg to start out with and ask her what flavors she likes like fruits ,deserts etc and go from there. Also you could goto a b&m with a flavor taste bar if its allowed in your area. Give her ample time test so she dont rush and get any flavor just to get out of there.

My wife liked to match her e-cig to her jewelry, or purse, or shoes...pink seems to be her favorite...not 1950s pink mind you, but more of a hot pink. Purple seems to come in a close second.

Now me...I'm good with basic black.

It has been my experience that any GOOD vape shop will let you sample their wares. My local vape shop creates AMAZING flavors in house!! I would recomend taking moms there (to your local shop), and chat with the people and try out some stuff. If they are worth their salt, they will set your mom up with a reasonablely priced "starter kit" and some very yummy juices.
Go in peace, friend.
