I order 20 from here Gaussboys Super Magnets :: Rings :: 6mm x 3.5mm x 2mm N38 Nickel Plated Neodymium Magnet - Ring they work ok in the old style button but are to thick to put 3 in new style.

I would like to revive this thread!!! I ordered these magnets (20 of them!) and used 2 in each of my SSGGTS(s) switches. They are perfect IMO and actually work better then using the magnets from the original GG brass switch, which I was doing. I have 16 left... The first 4 I used fit just fine, and there is plenty of tolerance/movement/room that I am not worried about anything with build up etc. The throw is also very nice, as is the resistance. I could only fit 2 of the original magnets in the new low profile switch, and the resistance is/was to light, where as these magnets from Gaussboys is perfect for my liking using 2 of them.

Thanks for the information!!!

If either of you would like to part with some, I'd love to do a magnetic switch conversion on my Stealth

To clarify if you have the newest style button found on the all SS stealths and newest brass stealths these magnets will not work. Imeo changed the button design as I understand it and more of the button goes inside the button body so magnets will not fit.

Last year I managed to get some of the original GG magnets, but the 2011 switch assembly just allows two of the magents and not three of them as in switches before 2011.
As Jolly already mentioned the resistance is low and the button fires really easy using just two magnets therefor I had to fiddle with some wire around the fire pin to bring the magnets closer together (I had no fitting washer at hand).
It works, but imo the other GGTS with the standard switch gives a harder hit while vaping although i can't find a difference with a multimeter. Maybe this is just caused by my fiddling with the wire....

I'll try the iridium bottom / button springs when they're available.

I am using mine in an original run SSGGTS switch and an original run Stealth switch... the switch design changed after that???

My understanding is (I havn't gotten a new button but I've read a couple posts that mention it) that the newest style button that came on the all SS Stealths last run the rounded part before the head of the button that goes into the button body when you press the button is longer to provide more contact between the button and the button body. Because this piece is longer there is less room inside the body so magnets won't fit.

Hope that helped if not I can take a picture of the part in question.

No for short ans. they don't fit like the boss said.
However i managed to make mine fit with a tiny lil modding. (kudos to a friend).
Grab a carto condom and tear really tiny pieces of it. stuff 1 or 2 pc into the button part.
proceed to swap spring with magnets. then tighten the thing up. (2 magnets only)
If u can't activate, stuff 1 more piece of carto condom and try.
If too loose, remove 1 piece of carto condom and try.
The carto condom literally creates space inside the switch and can be tightened well.
Simple and easy mod.
Credits to Madhero.
p.s. as usual with modding, try at own risk~

Not to confuse things anymore but... THe 2011 buttons like what were on the last shipment of SS GGTS do fit. The last couple of orders of Stealth had the 2012 style button they do not fit with.

You can tell which button your piece has fairly easily. The current 2012 button they do not fit with are the ones posted on CoV site. The head of the button is more flar and thicker looking. The 2011 style had a rounder shaped head on it.

The picture in my signature has a 2011 style button on it. Note it is more round than the current 2012 button which is seen here. You can note the flatter thicker top I referenced.

Are you saying to put rubber up into the threads of the button head?
yes my friend. Also mine is the 2012 style button. i.e. short throw. (or u could just file the button head shorter but that means no turning back. with the rubber, u could still remove them using a ..say safety pin.)
