Those little flat rubbery things to remove bottle caps work great. Just push the end into it in the palm of your hand and turn. I also keep my threads clean. This really helps.
Thank you Lisa, thats most kind of you.
I do appreciate the problems over fit etc., hence I didnt follow up on that one, I just wanted Imeo to try and understand the problem from someone without a great deal of grip, and look at that aspect when he designs his next creation.
Unfortunately when we see an item, whatever it may be, we often fall in love without realising the potential problem it could cause to us. I'm sure no one thought of this when Imeo came out with the brass caps as accessories, if we had, we would have mentioned it to him.
Again, Lisa, thank you for the kind offer.
you can use alcohol or aether to clean the threads with a small brush so threads will be like new again.
This advice is wonderful as and when the cap comes off, plus I stated I know the right things to use
As for the caps, I already solved this with GGTS. After Vaug told me this issue, I solve it immediately. You have to see and you will understand
PM replied toI have sent you a PM Lisa, as I would like to take you up on your kind offer.
yep, them's the breaks.Yes the industry is very new, but its moving too fast, so a PV that is only a matter of 6 months old, is already way out of date, it's the way of the industry, and that is not necessarily a bad thing, although it does leave people with older models of most PV's in a strange position.
I think I would take it as criticism too, if it were a product I designed and handmade myself.I also know Imeo takes feedback seriously, but he can often take it as criticism, when it is not meant to be, which means the comments are made outside of the forum for fear of missunderstanding.
So, this post is simply to point out that I realise the problems, am more than happy to accept Lisa's kind offer, and am glad that Imeo is considering everyone when coming up with his creations. And lastly, I still think the GG is the most beautiful PV out there, whichever model, hence I didnt want mine ruined by trying to release the cap with force.
I contacted Imeo by PM to talk everything over, and we have agreed to make a trade. I am sending the Transformer back to him, in exchange for a slim. I do think the smaller size, as well as the bottom placement of the button will work out much better for me.... and I would really like to be a "happy" GG customer again![]()

Glad to say my problem too will be sorted by this time tomorrow. A local sheet steel company contacted me today re a problem with a stray cat ( I work for an animal charity) and I have sorted his problem, and after a little chat, he agreed to sort mine.
Sorry Stormy, I tried the Jam Pot release along with pliers, and it did remove the adapter, so a partial success, but I couldnt get the cap off.
Thank you for the offer of assistance Lisa, but it will no longer be needed.
Mixxy I am delighted Imeo was able to resolve your problem.
The GG cap has been released, and I have been advised to clean the fittings with acetone on a regular basis as well as using a compound such as Noalax. So its all good news.
Great!Well I will be ordering one of those.....![]()
