I tried putting an o-ring on my stealth cap center pin, 3X1 mm I think..
The center pin on mine seemed a bit too tall to let the iatty rest on the cap
when it(pin) was tightened down. It worked just fine with the pin tightened down,
but if I unscrewed the center pin just enough to let the iatty sit tight on the top of the cap,
it would leak a bit over a day.

With this o-ring in place, the pin is shorter by just enough
that the iatty rests right on the top of the cap when I attach it.
And of course no leaks as well. I just wanted to give my iatty all the support I could,
since my brass ggtb cap got mangled by the iatty when I knocked it
off my desk one fateful day8-o..respect the iAtty!

Of course Imeo and Bruce have already replaced that ggtb cap,
with customer service and personal kindness second to none!:)
(even though it was my own clumsy fault:laugh:)

poppa, no teflon is required.

I did not tight the center pole of the stealth because I wanted to let users to adjust it easily. Just tighten it and you will never need to do anything else buddy:)

ps.... if you want Iatty tight on the Stealth then screw Iatty, then screw hard the center pole. Thats it

Thanks Imeo,

I had tried all of that, but the leak didn't stop.

Mosh, I tried the smallest oring that I have, but it wasn't small enough to get the pin tight enough to make contact and not squeeze out around the battery connection.

So far the teflon tape has helped, I dont think its completely sealed off since I noticed some moisture in there still. The amount of moisture was not like the drops of liquid I was getting on both the Stealth cap and the batteries with out it. If the teflon tape proves to be a burden, a bit of silicone might be worth a try.

I want it tight because the Iatty has destroyed every connector I've used it with, and I don't want the Stealth cap stripped out.

Bruce would never do that, I am sure Inq. I send him some tubes so you will have them soon buddy:)

I hate to be a rat, but Bruce did turn those engraved tubes into stealths. I sure hope you have more to send him. I really need those tubes, and I am sure other need them as well. Bruce said that he would request more with his next re-supply. I hope that is soon and he doesn't turn them all into stealths again.

I have some more engraved tubes but how do you know that Inq? He told you that he has no engraved tubes? Maybe he just sold all of them

I don't know exactly what you sent him but the tubes havn't been listed on his site yet and it sounds like he told Inq he doesn't have any. Add that to the fact that full stealths did go up for sale after he recieved your shippment is what is leading him to that conclusion I think.

I am also interisted in picking up at least one of these tubes as well.

Then I have to send Bruce more tubes. I already contact him about this issue and I will wait for his answer. Maybe he didnt understand the reason that I send him those tubes. I am aslo sure that he wanted to satisfy more people that wanted Stealth than sending tubes to people that already have a functioning GGTS.

But no worries, I will send him tubes with the new stealth batch:)

whats the cost of just the tube vs a whole stealth?

Wrarrar, using the 32g kanthal I find that 3 coils gives me 1.4-1.8ohms depending on how tight or loose I wrap the coils. If I wrap them real tight I can get 4 coils for 1.6-2.0ohms. This works for me for both my iAtty and my Bulli A2. But the funny thing is that each of our iAtty's and other rebuildable attys have their own little quirks so you might find that 4 coils gives you 1.4-1.8ohms and 5 coils gives you 1.8-2.6ohms. Then there could be a difference because you use iAtty, xc-116, ss mesh, or A2 wick. But generally I've found that for me 3 coils gives me 1.4-1.8ohm and 4 coils gives me 1.6-2.0ohms.
