So I was fortunate enough to be able to snag a Stainless GG Stealth mod from COV and a friend was generous enough to part with his Odysseous. It came in the mail today and after watching a few videos I made my first coil. This thing vapes like a champ. Nice warm vape. Resistance measured at 1.4 ohms.

It works great except that I noticed when the ody is screwed all the way down tight onto the stealth top cap, airflow is a bit restricted and it whistles. I've tried adjusting the pin in the 510 connector as well as following Imeo's suggestions on the thread about the stealth gap. Anyone else experienced this problem?

The only way I can get unrestricted airflow and no whistle is by loosening the ody at least 1/2 turn. Then it's spot on perfect vape time.

Is it possible to buy any other part that will let me control the airflow on the stealth? Should I just go with the suggestions of o rings in the juice well?

Will the airflow control valve from a ssggts work on my stealth?

Thanks,

~ J

Thanks for the link. Sorry to hear you haven't been able to get an Ody yet. You will love it. I did read that thread as well as the other thread posted in that link. I'm not worried about the gap as much as I am about the draw. I really have very litt,e gap in mine in fact if I could increase the gap just a bit I think the draw would open up. Unfortunately adjustment underneath the stealth cap is already tightened all the way up so there is no adjustment there.

No, I was poking fun that I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE that has one here in NWI now :)

I believe Imeo said somewhere about adjusting the Odyssesus connector pin to get the whistle out.

I usally run mine on a GGTS so have not tried to figure out the whistle dilemma on a Stealth.

There has to be some adjustment that will remedy it, I would imagine.

I will fiddle with the ODY on mine and see what I come up with?

 The dog quip was good.

I messed with mine but did not get a whistle. You could hear air whooshing, but no whistle. It is from the slight gap between the the Ody underbase and the stealth top.

I didn't adjust the ODY pin as it is sealed well with the o-rings and I didn't want it to start leaking.

I did seat the Ody fully on the Stealth by backing out the Stealth connector pin and the insulator and then tightening both the insulator and connector pin till finger tight with a good snug to the Ody connector.

It is from this setup which I just get the air whooshing sound when taking a draw.

To get the adjustable air draw on your stealth Dagger, you would essentially turn it into a GGTS from all the parts you would need to get it to work

You could get just the adjuster flood well, a connector and connector pin/insulator. Also a 901 rethreader, plus a 901 to 510 adapter for the ODY, or the new ODY GGTS base instead, but then you would still need a telescope to run one 18350 in it.

It would basically be a GGTS without the top tube and a atty size specific cap on top. Without the top tube you could not use 18650's either.

Thats is interesting, K3vin. I will have to put some time into that and see if I get the same results?

It would look like this Dagger. Modded Stealth on left, regular GGTS on right

Insane,
Does the adjustable draw cap work to get rid of the whistling? In that picture it looks like you may have the ody on top of a telescope tube and a UFS on the stealth.

Serp,
Thank you for all the help. From your pic it appears that trying to get the control ring to work with the stealth makes it almost as long as a GGTS.

Major,

I was fortunate enough to snag an expansion pack for my Ody as well as one of the new ggts bases. Will that have everything I need to do what you described or is the collector tank an additional piece?

The collector tank assembly is indeed a separate needed piece if you don't already own a GGTS. Bruce at CoV has the needed parts to make the complete assembly also. Alternately, you could opt to buy the whole unit already assembled but that is not in stock as of this moment.

This is the complete assembly in one item but it includes the 901 brass top cap you likely wont need unless you are upgrading to a full GGTS. GGTS Full Connector with Control Tank

Going for what your stated desires are at this time, these are the required parts. I do see the collector tank with CR is out of stock though. I am unsure if any are going to be in the shipment going out Monday that includes the items you already have ordered.

1. Collector tank with Control Ring: GGTS Nickel Plated Replacement Collector Tank and Control Ring

2. Connector w/o internals: GGTS Replacement Nickel Connector

3. Connector Internals (Connector post, locking nut, Insulator, etc): GGTS Replacement Connector insides

Lastly, you could get the bare connector in brass for almost half of the silver one ($22.00 before 10% "bigbuyer" discount code). Some have also had good fortune by posting a WTB for the assembly in the classifieds. Good luck and if we can assist, please let us know. :)
