I got some bummer news, my drip mode oddy should be here tomorrow but COV sent me a new email saying they forgot to include my wick and wire and that it was now shipped. But that means probably wednesday except that wednesday is the 4th and the USPS is closed. So maybe thursday at best. And my Pene number is way up in the 26,xxx's so that will probably not show up till Fri-Sat if I get really lucky. Oh well, at least COV fixed it before it showed up and I found out on my own.

Mine had tons of vapor for a few hours and all of a sudden it just dropped off really bad like my battery needed a charge. One thing I noticed with the first time setting it up, was that the wick broke off really easy. Once I got it built the first time I knew it was going to be easy from that point on. But I wonder if adjusting the juice control over and over causes issues? Any one have some input on that?

Edit. Took the cap off and the wick is full of gunk. What I see from that is that the inner coils are glowing and drying out while the majority of the vapor is coming from the outer ends of the coil. Any way to change that? I have had the draw wide open since I started getting dry hits otherwise. Also whats the best way to clean it? I used the juice it came with. Not sure of the VG content. Normally I would use 50/50.

juice that came with it? did you order juice with it? the way to clean it is make a new coil ;) (thats what i do anyways or dab it with paper towel to get a little more life out of it ;)
Ya I got some juice with it. But dang. Having to change the coil every day is going to get annoying real fast. Its hard to wrap my mind around that. Please don't tell me its normal to change that thing out every day. I must be doing it wrong. It was not open all the way from the start. Maybe that's what I need to do. Let it flood and slow the flow as I go.

Dry burn your coil. You should see it all glowing by the time the gunk burns off. As for the middle drying out, you may have the coil wrapped to tight.

The juice is bad pervades the middle of the coil.
For the 50 \ 50 PG \ VG you need to add 10% to the composition of the water distsillirovanyoy juice Striker911:vapor:
I never added Distilled water to eliquid but I am not apposed to trying it. The calculator that I use has a place for water in the mix. But what does it do as far as vapor production, and taste?

Okay. So once the Vision stone needs filled I will dump the oddy in the VS and do a dry burn. Then open the flow all the way and see if that helps. If not then re-wrap time. Thanks for the help.

Typically your issue is caused by one or all of the following:

Wire type does not handle the high heat well ( Make sure you are using the recommended wire type) Nickle, NiChrome, Kanthal typically

Wire gauge is too low for the voltage supplied

Battery not producing enough voltage for the coil in question

Coil wrapped too tight around the wick

Coil wrapped with too much or too little space between each winding

Wick material too soft or not solid enough

Juice viscosity too rich for coil / wick setup

Darker colored juices tend to produce more junk or even completely coat a HR coil at a lower voltage

Above is just a few things you can look at for starters.

Hope this helps.

Peace-
