ok...i thought i understood this...now i am confused again

so i reserved 2 P+P's (#10 and #50), i go and preorder tonight at 8pm for 2 Penelopes, add my username and #'s. right?

now, will i have to wait to get my penelope's until the proteus is done? or will they ship first? and then a new shipment when the proteus arrive?

My understanding is they will ship first and then later will get the Proteus. As the Penelope is 510 it will work on any 510 device or adapted.

This is my educated guess.

It was my understanding as well, that the Penelope will get paid for tonight and shipped when available.
When Proteus is available, it will get paid for and shipped.

However.... now I'm confused again and someone help me out here.
I thought the pre-order was for those with reserved numbers.
After this was filled, sales or possibly a pre-order for those without reserved numbers.

I have a family obligation at 7:30 tonight and might not be at a computer at 8.
So I miss out on the Penelope if I can't get to a computer tonight even though I have a reserved number?


Edited to add: I realize Proteus is numbered, not Penelope, but I still thought the pre-order was for those with reserved
Proteus numbers.

I have the same problem, I have to be at work at 6pm so I will miss the preorders. I hope this doesn't mean I will miss out on the penelope. Also terribly upset I will miss the ody again...

Bruce I am also kinda curious about something. I know Penelope and Proteus have been split up but people that reserved their numbers were told that both would come together. That being said are the Penelopes you get going to be guaranteed to people who reserved a number? If not I think some people who reserved numbers might miss out on Penelope and that could cause some upset customers.

I agree fright. This is my only concern at this point. I also thought it was a package deal. Im ok with getting penelope first as long as the peeps that picked out the numbers they wanted are guaranteed to get both P&P.

I know it turned out this way due to circumstances beyond Imeos control, such as the stupid electronics he has to wait for. I also know Imeo is a man of his word and will do his best to make sure everyone is takin care of. His customer care and Bruces are part of what make using GGs such a great experience.

There are no numbers on the Penelope, mate. it's the Proteus that has the serial number and that's not ready yet. Tonight's pre-sale is just for the Penelope and to give Bruce your reserved numbers so he can associate your forum name from the list with your customer account on his site

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that you don't actually do that.
