I'm trying to find a place to get extra wire. I've seen posts about people not wanting to use kanthal because they don't want to inhale aluminum. Which type & gauge is the concensus best? And does it matter what type of wick to get? I see some stuff on Amazon, I just need to know exactly what to order.

Since I'm a Prime member, I can get free shipping on it. Is nickel supposed to be safer than aluminum and what kind of wicking & no resistance do you look for?

That will work, red. Anywhere from 30-36 gauge is commonly used for this purpose, depending on personal preference and the ohms your shooting for (I use 34-36 ga for nichrome and 32 ga for kanthal, myself)

For the no resistance wire, bare nickel wire .2 mm is what Bruce sells and is also available from wires.co.uk, but silver wire will also work and can be bought many places including some craft stores

For wick, there are discussions throughout the forum on the various wicking materials. Personally, I just use the stuff from CoV, I've tried other materials and that's the one that I like best. He'll have more in stock soon and your Ody/Penelope will come with a meter of it, too

I would stick with the stock silica wick from cov. This is just my personal preference but it has proven to me to be the best and safest.

I bought a Penelope and Oddy. This is whole new territory for me. Never fooled with a rebuildable but I want to see what all the hype is about. I'm not interested in the genesis type rebuildables due to the mesh...I can taste metal even in regular atty's. So these seemed to be more appealing to me. I'm also waiting on a TS...NOW THAT'S A LONG WAIT!!!!

Imeo said Ody's shipped from Greece (headed to COV) yesterday, Penelope's next week, so I'm guessing that the 25th might work, but I figure that's all dependent on customs. On a side note, Ody's are now gone, but Penelope's are still available. Guess it's time to hit the classies for those that missed out!

Any idea whe GGTS parts will stock? I'm looking for a SS telescope piece and SS end cap. Anybody wanna part from theirs, or have extra?

Edit* Thanks to brian272465 for selling me an SS Telescope so quickly. Now I need an SS bottom cap. I just wanted to use a Kick in my Stealth. I swapped my GGTS tele with the stealth threaded ring to use a Kick in my Stealth, but it leaves my GGTS with open threads, and looks a little incomplete.
