IMO, mechanical mods like the GGTS are collector's items. They are not meant for regular use, it's that bottle of cognac that you keep in your closet which you take a sip once in awhile to appreciate its beauty.

If I own a GGTS, I sure as hell wouldn't dump it into my bag or pocket and use it like the way I do with a Provari or Lambo.

I disagree--I beat the hell out of my GGTS. It is meant to be used.

I wanted a GG for the versatility of battery configurations--3.7/4/5/6/7.2 volts--I am by no means a fanboy. I also like the idea of the of non-genesis rbas. I hated the one genesis I had--it sucked/leaked and was the most fickle pile I've ever used (I am by no means incompetent when it comes to building/wicking/wrapping). I'd buy an ODY/UFS over any genesis--thus, I wanted to keep my parts matching.

I also LOVE my Innovapor Ultra-Max at 7.2 volts. All mechanical for me...less crap to go wrong. I am very hard on my PVs no matter what they cost me. I use them as needed, not as a trophy or status symbol.

FYI psurado [sp] did a review on the ADAM from Korea,,yes they are sharp looking and almost a practical out and about mod

he was having some problems with the switch

sorry i don't have the you tube link

They fixed the switch. And they are also sending those who bought earlier the new updated switches for free.

Pretty cool customer service IMO.

Well, it's different for everyone. I'm a lazy guy and I love tanks and VV mods. I'm attracted to the mechanical mods solely for their craftmanship.

It's not the price that stops me from using them regularly, it's just that they are so beautiful that I can't bear risking a scratch on them. :D

It's just like how one wil drive a toyota to work everyday but a vintage car only on special weekends.

If I have a choice, I'll buy 2 of the same mods, one for keeping and one for using.

I do think its more of a collector thing Ive never wanted one, but I can see the attraction lots of things to try and tinker with. Im waiting on a used Orion but I think that will be it for my unregulated mod days. I just prefer the ability to set my voltage or wattage with knob click or screwdriver.
Better battery life ect.... I think the price is dropping because its old technology no matter how nicely packaged. The Peny from all accounts is well made and nice looking RBA system so it thrives The GGTS will be bought if they keep making it but more so as a cool gadget rather than everyday use.

I have to disagree. I do not own the gg, but i own mech mod the uranos, and the precise + 18350. I think you will see a great revival of the mech mods, mainly because of the rba's, such as genesis attys, growing popularity. I find it more convenient to create my coils to support the voltage. I find, battery life vastly improved with the mech mods over my lavatube vv. Plus I find comfort knowing my battery is essentially a flashlight tube with very little chance of failure. I like the telescoping mods for their ability to use whatever batteries are on hand. I think the more expensive mods like the GG will always have a following, just like French wine, but as other manufacturers have gotten into the mod race ,as of late, smoktech, is an example, prices are declining in a supply demand fashion. However, I certainly would not write off mech mods as dated technology just yet. People who are preparing for the government crackdown on our hobby believe mech mods and rba's, to be the bomb shelter of the vaping world. Plus, those of us who wish to keep things basic will crave the simplicity of mech mods. Also, lets not forget the kick for those who want vv with mech mods.

i must disagree on mec mods being the bomb shelter of regulation ,,trying to regulate the VV electronics will next to impossible to control
there is just too much electronic stuff on the market ..
it would be like trying to regulate the lighters we used to light up the ol stinkies

juice though is a totally different ball game ,

Regulation as in regulated power not regulated build rules :) Gotta love it say something and sit back and watch how its interpreted. I try not to argue as everyone is entitled to their opinion just like me but I do find it comical no matter what you say someone some place can and will find some way to disagree with it. Even if they have to make up a reason to disagree;-)

i understood exactly what was said, but

stick a light module on a provari, and it is no longer an e-cig ..catching what i said yet ?

I'm not entirely sure why you would need voltage regulation, ohm checking and short circuit protection on a flashlight...

Well IMO , I can see a place for both in my life style of vaping .... I love my VV mods and the way I control my Vape " TH" with it " specially after a meal I feel the need to crank up some power :) and to do that with a few click of a button it's something the Mach mods can't do !! But I also enjoy the moment of pure relaxation " when ever that comes " with a smooth Vape that you can get with most mech mods that have something decent on them " ODY - iatty - VST - and many many others..... But as soon as I wake up I grab my carto tank and a vv ...that will do my day !!

So at the and of it for me ...as long as I'm vaping and enjoying / satisfying my Nic craves , I'm on thumbs up !!! for every vaping mod....

Having said all this, I prefere mechanical mods for there craft and less proneness for trouble .... But I love filling a cart and check out with no hassle more instead of waiting for months to get a mod .... I think the GG needs or has too step up in production cos hey ..if them guys over in korea those it before .... The title of the tread would be 99% fulfilled in my op....

Well, there's already The Adam which IMO, looks much better than the GGTS. And it's cheap. $160 for the basic model.

The gunmetal edition got me drooling. I'll be getting one for christmas. Hopefully they will still be producing the gunmetal one since it's suppose to be limited edition.

WOW! $160 for the knockoff?? That's insane. You can get a brand new GGTS for $198.

I can only summize that this is related to the ongoing issues that Imeo has caused and his apparent ungentlemanly behaviour in response to those issues.

Since this calumnious statement is being left completely unfounded, it should be completely disregarded by any free thinking individual. We now return to our regularly scheduled programming.
