Hi everyone. I'm a little new to vaping .... about 35 days so far.

I picked up an AFSv2 and since Vaporkings was out of the GGTS (brass ends), I bought a Silver Bullet. I actually had the AFSv2 before the Silver Bullet came in the mail. Crazy, but true.

I just want to say the AFSv2 is a great device ......a work of genius in my opinion. It works great ... even on a device that it wasn't originally designed for.

It would be great to have a GGTS. My AFSv2 has wings. I need a GGTS with wings .... to match the wings on my AFSv2.

How much longer do I have to suffer?

I can't bear this much longer. I MUST HAVE A GGTS! I MUST HAVE A GGTS! I MUST HAVE A GGTS!

Did I say I MUST HAVE A GGTS YET?

It's not my fault. I'm new to vaping. I'm innocent here. The videos did it to me. The enthusiasm of the GG owners here did it to me. This PV is a must have!!

I'm hooked. Reel me in now. I have "GG Fever" !!

Vaporkings (Rob) ... my credit card is burning a hole in my pocket.

Imeo .. you have another customer waiting in the wings.

Hurry, hurry, hurry and stock up for God's sake !! :)

That was a reference about the cult comment. I guess I am showing my age. Years ago there was a cult that sold flowers on the corner. Probably no one remember that be but me. Maybe Clyde would. :):):)

1. I'm 42, dammit! (But I do remember the moonies, possibly even saw one or two in Oklahoma AS A KID.)

2. Let's face it, we do have a bit of a reputation in the vaping community as being a little fanatical:

a. Imeo is proud of his products and designs, and coupled with his using English as a second language, some of his posts out of context can be perceived as being a little arrogant.

b. GGers love the products, support and sense of community almost to the exclusion of all other mods. This, coupled with the tendency of some of us to lay on the praise a bit too thick can make others think we're obsequious fanatics. (I've had a couple of people in this forum grumble about the second part to me in private.)

c. It's not all our fault, since other vapers with the same characteristics tend to attack us and elicit a response that reinforces these stereotypes. I.E., another mod owner with a chip on his shoulder talks crap about GG's, and we retaliate by telling him why our GGTS's are obviously superior to his whatever. Instead, we should be congratulating him on finding a PV that he's happy with.

d. The whole thing reminds me of the Mac vs. PC argument, and we're the Macs. My computer, and my vape, is my preference, not my religion.

3. Oddly enough, I'm writing this on an aluminum Macbook, and I did feel compelled to buy Kool-Aid yesterday for my kid's summer visitation.

HAHA Clyde..I'm actually older than you! I'll be 50 in November...LOL!

The only folks that aren't fanatical about GG's are the folks that don't own one yet!

Ohh..and PLEASE don't compare me to a Mac user...I'll have to sell my GG!! We're more like Linux...everything just works!

And as far as drinkin' Kool-Aid...you're on your own there buddy...I'll stick with my coffee and iced tea...ROFL!!

Especially after recent repairs, I'm loving my old tdi beetle again. 220K+ miles, and it'll drive across the country without a complaint. I'm an enthusiast. A fanatic is someone who will bash another person's choice to buy a prius instead of a tdi vw.

I've tried UNR on a netbook and was very impressed with it. Might have to try it on my parent's p4 desktop and erase windows.

The kool-aid is for the kids. I'm drinkin' my joe as we speak, old timer.;)

I won't bash somebody for not owning a GG...I'll just quietly realize that their vaping experience hasn't evolved to the highest level yet...:) LOL!

And yeah..I drive an ol' 1985 Silverado..rebuilt the original 305 engine, bored 30-over, RV cam, low-pro manifold, Holley Street Avenger. Has had everything but paint restored. My next project will be finding an old diesel truck..probably Dodge..and converting it to run on both standard biodiesel and vegetable oil. I'm still studying on that technology...but I definitely want to try it out.

I just get cold-sweats over Mac stuff..I had to write a database in FoxPro 2.6 for Mac..way back in the day..and I'm still twitchin' over it...LOL! I do love tinkering on Linux although I know for sure that my mom would have a canary fit if I killed her Windows...LOL! It's only taken me 2 yrs to get her up to speed on email and browsing on Windows...LOL!

Stick to 'da Joe!!

Stick to 'da Joe!!

1. Brewing some joe now in the office, TYVM.

2. Do you mean biodiesel, where you buy diesel from a pump made from corn, or do you want to do the waste oil/grease car thing? Or are you wanting to make your own diesel from bio/waste products that will work in your truck without modifications to it? (If it's the latter, my roommate in college is a MD who set up a kit in his garage.)

3. As for the GG, I agree entirely. Now if they ask, I'll sure as heck tell them...

4. Getting your parents to go to an alternate OS: wait until they call you over for the third time in a year to reinstall windows before you bring it up.

Back to work, good luck!

For the diesel..I'm looking to experiment with all of it. Waste oil/home brew/storebought biodiesel. I'm also working on learning enough electronics to make some solar panels and maybe wind power too. I'm also looking to drill my own well at some point. We've got 2 acres here out in the country and both the electricity and water supply go down fairly often so it's more of a need at this point. They get it fixed pretty quick but it's very frustrating. I think I can make the whole thing much more dependable.

I getcha on the dealing with parents thing...LOL! I still can't explain the concept of copy and paste to my mom..she thinks she'll delete something or it will disappear. I've given her strict rules..she's not allowed to download anything or install any software. I run heavy security programs on her computer and it sends up warnings if she tries to do anything and that scares her so much she'll call me. It means I get a few more phone calls but don't have to reinstall her too often...LOL!

I feel the parental pain! My parents who live near Joplin, MO call me whenever they buy new electronics or screw up their computer.

What I really hate is they expect me to remotely help them hookup aforementioned electronics without having seen them. They are both highly educated people but seem to not understand the concept of an instruction manual.

I agree with Wolf, make it scary for the parental units to mess up the computer. I would rather they call me beforehand then have to guide them through the cleanup afterwards. (right click once, no, right click, not left click, right click)

We're more like Linux...everything just works!

don't know but to me if the GG was like linux we'd all receive the CAD files / design specs for free from Imeo and then have to go down to the machine shop to cut out all the pieces :D:D:D

Linux involves (or at least used to... had a few different distros from about 98 till 2005, not sure how much progress has been made so far) a lot more tinkering than I need to be productive... for my liking... :2cool:

Congrats Vapor, on winning the GGTS - glad you really like it - it's such a shame that people can be put off buying a device that could be their vaping nirvana, just cos of crap they've been lead to believe about the manufacturer by various nay-sayers. Fabulous that you've had the opportunity to see and use and love the device behind the rumour. :)

Congrats Vapor!
