Yes Cappy I agree as I have a whole huge collection of GG units and set up all different ways like you do , I was just saying though if you use a strong machined Copper screw with a nice flat head on it, then you can set that screw up perfect to allow the smallest setting like you do your "post" I will call it, I just don't like that term .... plug for the GG as it doesn't sound to cool to me for GG so I'll use "post", but you got me right you know what I'm saying about the screw ? it is also a very cost affective way too, like you where saying the welding stuff can be expensive, and really they are a screw kind of to the way those welding tips are threaded there almost just like a screw without a head on it. I found the screw technique once when my spring went bad so I went out to the shop and started playing with screws trying to get them to fit so I could keep running until I got a new spring, it's just like the way you use just your "post" anyways keep up the great videos buddy they are nice to watch and informative for people that don't know all the stuff that you are demonstrating for everyone.

A mig tip is made from copper alloy not pure copper , so i saw this video from cappy and set about making a pure copper one .
And i did notice a marked improvement

Regardless of the fact that the videos got deleted, what does everyone think about using brass instead of SS? I know a brass button head makes a considerable difference in the overall performance, so I'm sure that adding a brass battery post and (+) connector pin would also boost performance. SS is over-hyped, and I think it's durability and the prospect of having an all SS GGTS makes people loose sight of SS's conductive properties. That said, the brass is probably less practical because it would require extremely regular maintenance for its conductivity to outshine SS.
