You're going to need a little bit of cleaning on the contacts to ensure that contact is always made when you press the button - this is similar to any other device. Apart from that, you can clean (or not) as much as you like depending on how you want it to look. A lot of GG users really love to keep their device sparkling and so there does appear to be a large amount of threads devoted to cleaning. This isn't an indication of how dirty the device gets, it's more an indication of how obsessed some of us are with keeping it looking really pretty.
Most issues are caused by improper contact, improper connection of atomisers, bad batts or atomisers and pretty much any other issue that is common to all mods.
What is not common to all mods however, is the ease with which they are fixable by the end-user - usually you would have to send them back to the manufacturer. With the GG, if anything goes wrong, it's usually a simple matter that the user can take care of themselves, with a little support from Imeo and/or our lovely GG forum members who are more than helpful.
