Howdy all,

I have been in the market for a GGTS for awhile now and ended up acquiring one via third party yesterday. I read through a lot of posts and watched a lot of videos but I couldn't find answers to the following questions.

1) are AVS and AFS the same thing? I see both referenced quite a bit but I wasn't sure if they were two different things or the same? (on that note, it may help if you have a glossary thread with all of the GG lingo in it for the noobs like myself).

2) What do I need in order to setup an AVS on my GGTS v1? I think I have it all figured out except for one thing, the collector tank. Does the GGTS v1 have a collector tank already or is that included in the AVS2 kit (for v1 GGTSs) for sale at VK?

3) I really like the flush look of the GGTS v2 w/ AVS, is there a way to make the GGTS v1 w/ AVS look that way?

4) I read the differences between the GGTS v1 and GGTS v2 on the wiki, but any other nuances that people can chime in on? Is there a more desirable model if you were to buy one second hand as to whether you'd want a v2 over a v1 or vice versa such as materials used, the way it vapes, etc?

For the record, I'm probably going to be picking up a new GGTS in the future as well. If anyone here is a member of the head-fi.org forums (for audiophiles), I think their tagline fits in great with the Golden Greek community.

"welcome to head-fi, and sorry about your wallet" should now read:

"welcome to the Golden Greek, and sorry about your wallet"

In a pile of sawdust
Q:1 AVS & AFS are nearly the same, AVS is feeder for GGTS & AFS is for use on all other mods.

Q:2 you need complete AVS upgrade with collector tank not just the AVS Complete upgrade for GG AVS tank with plastic mouthpiece

Q:# it will look that way with the upgrade cause the collector tank will replace your atty cap.

Q:4 AVS v1 & v2 are the same only V1 has thinner walls (like .5mm) & larger top cap to match that diameter

ps.Grrr.... lol I really wanted that one too last night (#373?), but was already gone when I noticed it. I picked up #6 just a bit earlier today, but it didn't have the brass accents like I wanted

The first AFS unit was actually quite different then the current AFSv1 AFSv2 The first un of AFS units had a different tank all together and way different top and bottom caps,, they also only really worked with Imeo's I Attys if I remember correctly, then once he made the AFSv2 for all mods you could then use any 901 Atty, just wanted to clarify this as many get mixed up and many didn't ever have the very first AFS tanks

The very first AFS was actually quite different to clarify, it looked nothing like the current AFSv2 it had no CR and completely different top and bottom caps then the current AFS does and the first AFS only really worked with the IAtty that Imeo was selling that had a laser whole through the wall of the Atty to suck in the liquid to the Atty, the original AFS was like in the picture I show and here all all 3 version that i have. I hope this helps you out thedudeabides
