Even though these have been stopped until a fixed version is realeased and despite my disappointment that they sucked out of the box, I have to say I am delighted with my Giantomizers at this point having put multiple carts through multiple refills and heavy vaping.
What I do:
1) Remove silicon stopper, run cart under hot water.
2) Splay/seperate the wick completely. Sometimes I do lose strands.
3) Dry overnight.
4) Dry burn.
5) Cut deep square (not V shaped) notches in the silicone stopper leaving really only 2 or 3 milimeters of silicone left.
2) Replace the awful tasting factory rubber tips that easily fall off with delrin mega cart tips.
4) Fill with juice and make sure to wet the atomizer directly as well.
5) Drop the stopper back in but do not push down, make sure slots are lined up with wicks. Use the force of inserting (flat) the new tip to push down the silicone. Remove tip and check placement, occasionally if force wasn't even the silicone snags, if it does pull it out and redo. I think the benefit of this method gives the highest possible palcement of the silicone.
6) Maybe shake side to side lightly and/or give a few minutes for the juice to soak the wick.
7) Vape away
8) After 2 refills remove stopper, run under hot water, clean wicks, soak in a big jar of hot water overnight. Next set out to dry. Next day dry burn till burns clean and filler up.
9) Add more juice when cart is more than 3/4 empty.
Consistancy: I give this a 8.5/10. Sometimes a little shake, tipping or even momentary upside down keeps my vape consistant through most of the capacity.
Taste: I give this a 9/10.
Vapor: I give this a 9/10.
Warmth: I give this an 8/10. I actually find this varys from cart to cart. The ones I like provide just a little warmth and are 10/10 - personal pref.
Leaking: 5/10. Leaking will occur through the window if liquied goes past the stopper and top of clear inner tube as known.
Comparision:
LR Cartomizers give me more vapor, more intense flavor, and more warmth. On the downside the rate I go through my juice cartomizers are just inadequate. If I wasn't topping up I would go through maybe 8 carts a day! Consistancy in carts is only there for me at the beginning. Once juice levels deplete then taste drops off and "bad" tastes start (burning.) Even with carts when I am topping them up I end up with leakage usually.
LR Dripping gives me more vapor and more flavor and warmth as well. Similar downsides as cartomizers but suffere even worse if the atomizer is too dry or flooded.
The one other note is around the tip replacement. I notice because the opening is wider vaping is prone to occasionall "sputtering" up of hot juice and into the mouth. The way I avoid this is by nice slow drags. This even gives me more warmth and more vapor anyway
So overall I actually love my Giantomizers the way they are now. Way more convenient for me than the other 2 options based on the amount I vape. I go through 3-4 fills/swaps a day.
