So, not to get all melancholy but I wanted to share something. Back in 2007 I lost my 9 year old son to cancer. While he was undergoing treatment he attended Camp Kemo, which is a summer camp for children with cancer here in the SC Midlands. At the camp he made this tool box and gave it to me when he returned. I'm no carpenter so I've never used it for anything ...until today. Now it's on my desk as a nice place to put juices and such. I love being able to look at it now and it performing a function other than a catch all. Besides, my son wanted me to quit smoking which I never did while he was with us. In fact, once he got his diagnosis I leaned on cigarettes even more, going from 1 pack to close to 3 packs a day. I'm so honored to have his gift serve as a reminder of his love for me and his wish that I be well and healthy. Until we meet again little one.
