I'm getting a friend a ecig for his birthday. Most likely I'm going to get him a auto Volt- he's been using mine and likes it. He needs things very simple and filling cartridges will be too confusing for him (not the brightest crayon in the box:blush:) I think I'll probably get home a clearomizer so he knows when to refill it. My question is which do you think is the easiest to refill? Funny thing is he's already found his all day vape from my supply! Any advice is appreciated - the simpler the better.

Thanks!

Depends it guess on what battery size he might want... if you want VOLT stuff, a cig size or the larger spinner? I'd say whichever size batteries (min 2) w/ matching clearomizers, a couple of e-liqs, and a wall adapter. Personally, from my experience, one "outgrows" the cig-alike batteries pretty quickly, as they just don't hold a charge all that long. BUT, some vapers NEED to start off w/ a cig-a-like battery.
Cartridges can be filled via the "condom method", but I prefer the clearos. Much simpler.
I started w/ VOLT Premium kit, auto cig-alike batteries & pre-filled cartos approx 3 weeks ago. Ordered the nanos & e-liqs immediately. And now I've ordered bigger everything. My point being IF he has already made some choices via your stuff, figure out which battery size he wants and order clearos to match. Forget the cartridges. And really, I'd recommend the larger spinner batteries (if you want VOLT), as I am now running thru 4 Volt e-cig batteries in one day. Although this time I ordered EGO batteries and compatible clearos. I'm slowly working my way up. :)

I think one of the main reasons I picked the volt is the sealed battery. He tried my husband's provari and was all confused with the button and voltage changing. He's not a heavy smoker, maybe 1/2 pack a day sometimes more if he's out at a bar.

I've already upgraded to an ego-t (waiting for it to come in) I have a revolver echo with a spinner thing and had him try it and he thought it was too thick. I have a few clearos from SI, but they are hard to refill and I've already messed up 2 of them by filling them the wrong way. What other clearos do you use?

LOL... ITA w/ him, I'm not ready for a Provari yet, either. I'm going to work my way UP slowly.
And I agree, I like the sealed auto batteries for beginning, also. I was told to make sure to always take the clearos OFF of the battery prior to filling and wipe off the top of the battery and the bottom of the clearo to remove any condensation or leaking. I've only used the Nano clearos from SI, so far. The nanos were very simple to fill, I thought, as you just pour it in along the side of the clearo. SI's eliq have the needle nose top, so they accomodate well. Just don't overfill. Some other eliqs I've bought elsewhere have a fatter tip, which makes one have to be much more precise in filling, but a syringe would solve that issue. I did have one Nano that leaked, but it was only that one out of about 15 that I've purchased, so just luck of the draw.
The Volt system was good for me as a starter becuz it's so simple and almost fool proof. I bought DH one also, and he is still really happy w/ his stuff. And he's a very light smoker, so it works well for him. He started w/ the pre-filled cartridges and quickly changed to the Nanos.

For an 808 stick you're pretty limited on clearos. There's the Nano and CE3 that SI carries, but the CE3 requires a syringe. The Tidy 10 is similar to the CE3 in that you need a syringe as well. I've heard good things about the Blanks from V2; I've also heard that they're rebranded T4's. The Phoenix from GotVapes apparently doesn't need a syringe. And that's about it for stick-sized 808 clearos. I've only tried the Nano and Tidy and didn't like either, but I don't much like clearos anyway.

Good luck.

I've thought about gifting an eRoll, the whole idea of removing it from the pcc for use then replacing pretty much ends the old marriage to the cig-alike charger. You don't even have to dismantle it to use the pcc, it plugs right onto an adapter. The main learning curves for a newb seem to be keeping up with the tank and charging the pcc at night. I've only looked into them, but heck even I want one, it's supposedly light enough to hang from your mouth. If I didn't have a child who I don't want associating PV's with cigarettes, I'da had one yesterday.
