I am so new and still smoking analog and need to get to vaping soon! I am very lost!

Comes down to the Halo Triton or Kanger Evod! One is top coil and other is bottom coil...ugg more confusion! I want a hit that is like my analog cigarettes, seeing I have yet to quit. My cigs now are "strong" lights (much stronger then marlboro lights). I want all the flavor and all the throat hit haha. As for warmth, I just want like my analog cig, I guess? I have heard that bottom coil gets much less hit and warmth? Which is better and please tell me if they are really THAT MUCH different?

Also, would love to stay with VG and use Virgin Vapors (stay as clear as I can), but if need be and have to, then I will add PG if hit with VG is that much weaker!

Still smoking so something that is close as can be...so your pick is? Going into detail and reasons would be awesome!

Kanger EVOD
Halo Trition

I prefer Bottom, that is my personal preference. I have had both and I like the flavor that I get with bottom coils especially the EVOD and the iSmoka BCC.
You might wanna throw a little PG in there as well, I have tried 100% VG and got almost no hit.
I also have the Protank 2 and I like that as well.
I say get them both but that is the impulse buyer in me

Now that is one titled thread that is going to attract alot of attention  , I honestly prefer bottom as well because its easier to keep the wicks saturated and I also get more flavor from them as well.......... And I would suggest going to a vape shop if you have one in your area and see if they can let you try out diff. juices that have diff. pg/vg levels as well as diff. mg's for you to try out to see which ratio is for you..........

Hi VapBaby, I`m from Belleville...right across the river from ya. As far as warmth goes a top coil is better. As far as the hit goes, I really don`t feel much difference between a top coil and bottom coil but that`s just me, everybody is different. As far as the VG juice goes, I am currently vaping Boba`s Bounty which is 100% VG at 18mg and the throat hit is definitely there.

How can I not see what a thread title like that is all about? lol

Top or bottom? Hmm... The two biggest differences between top and bottom are "warmth" of the vape and "other."

Many people say that the vapor coming off a top coil clearo is warmer. I have used both CE4's and Kanger T3's and personally I don't detect any noticeable difference.

"Other." By it's very nature a bottom coil device is always going to keep your wick and coil wet. Top coils to me are a PITA, needing constant rolling around to keep getting liquid to the coil - at the top. It's dumb to have to battle the laws of physics and with coil at the top, liquid at the bottom... well, there ya go.

I'm a 100 VG user too and find the Kanger bottom coil stuff is working fine with thick VG liquids even.

As to the "smoking" experience question? Not gonna go there. Smoking isn't vaping and you still might be chasing after something that by it's nature just isn't there. Not burning anything - just can't be the same. As a 100 VG user you lose out on the option to add throat hit. No matter what my 100 VG experience is, I still like it a lot better than smoking though. The other matters you may be having problems with if quitting is a problem are too low a nic level and actually not vaping enough.

Look through the forum suppliers list at the top of this page and hit a few sites and look around. Most have coupons for a discount available and list sale items in their threads. I picked EV Cigarettes at random, called them on the phone asked a few questions which they were happy to answer and shipped my goods by 2:00 the next day. Also might try GoodEJuice and compare prices too. Find one near you to cut down on shipping time as they all seem to use USPS exclusively.

Get an eGo setup and start with a top coil. Gets a warmer hit and that sounds like what you want. The neat thing about eGo is that you can try everything if you want once you have the basic kit of batteries and chargers. Clearomizers, cartomizers, tanks, top, bottom, etc, etc, they all work.

Good luck. Hope you get what you want and need!!

I have a T3s (bottom coil), and noticed the tiny holes in the knurled area at the bottom. Figured those were intake holes, and made a point of plugging one with my finger as I vaped. I noticed a tighter feel to the draw, which improved the experience for me.

Everything else about the bottom coil tank vs the top coil clearo I also use leans towards the T3s. Now that I can tighten up the draw on the T3s, it wins hands down for me.

Bottom wicks are my favorite right now at day 106 of being smoke free.
I started with CE-2 & 3's and Nova tank top feeding wicks.
They all work well and provide a nice vapor cloud but the bottom feeding EVOD 1.5 ml is such an easy set up to rebuild,, coil & wick that is. Also very easy to just change the coil / wick without having to empty the tank.
As for the juice, VG gives a bigger cloud vape , while PG gets the throat hit. So a 50/50 juice mix should work well for you.
I want to say that I smoked 3 packs a day of Marlboro Red quality cigs. I injected my own using cig tubes, pipe tobacco ( do to the federal tax law on class a tobacco ) , and an electronic injector. It cost about 90 cents per pack,,cheap on the wallet,,,,expensive on my lungs.
Point here is,,, now I'm loving the flavors of vaping, and I don't use any tobacco flavors. Expresso,,,Coffee,,,Capuchino,,,Chocolate,,,Vanilla,,etc.
The stronger vapor hits will come from higher nicotene mg. Try 24 mg first.
I'm curious to know how you make out,,, ( not make out as in kissing ) lol....
I'm wishing you the best so you don't have to keep keep on breathing in a forest fire. ( That's what it's like when I light a cig for my wife. )

How long have you used pure VG without a problem? Just curious.
