What do you think about the Blu Cigs? I was thinking about getting Premium Black Electric Cigarette Kit | E-cig Starter Kit but want to get some people's advice first. If you like them, what do you like most about them? What do you think the downsides to them are? If you dont think Blu cigs are any good, why don't you like them? Im just starting out to e-cigs, but have smoked for about 3 1/2 years consistently about 4-8 cigarettes per day. For many reasons, I don't want to smoke anymore, but please help me with this decision. I know all of you have a lot of experience, and I don't care to invest in a very expensive set-up. I'd prefer something as convenient as this product with the box to carry around and charge batteries. Let me know! Thanks!

i would avoid blu if you can. they have a reputation for terrible customer service, and i have read many stories about nightmares when dealing with them. a larger number of vapers i know started then and quickly switched to other companies. you could look into local places i know there are many in cali. a lot of vapers that leave blu head to volcano e-cigs which has awesome reviews and a strong loyal following. they also have a few shops/kiosk in cali... clover city, and antioch i know are two of them

I started vaping this past October with the standard Blu kit and my experience with it wasn't that good. If Blu took 1/2 their marketing budget and put that toward actually making a good product then they might have something worthwhile. Their flavors aren't bad since they're made by Johnson Creek, but their batteries are pretty junky. They don't hold a charge well and they'll activate when you don't want them too. Knowing what I know now I wouldn't have bought the Blu kit.

I've heard good things about Volcano as deleon suggested and a lot of people here on the boards also recommend The Volt by Smokeless Image.

My experience....

I like many others when starting wanted the device to "look" like a cig.

That didn't last very long, I ended up buying a Ego, K-Go, iTaste, Vivi Novas, and an Innokin MVP in very quick succession. Provari is next on my list.

Save yourself the grief (and money) and get a larger battery thats VV maybe the Ego-T. That will free up your budget to experiment with different delivery systems like cartomizers, tanks, cartridges etc until you find what works for you.

I have three different "cig" boxes laying dormant because I was convinced that form was more important to me than function...

Edit: My last cig style kit was the Innokin AIO - I might crack it out to use when travelling so I can puff immediately when I land without having to hunt for my liquids, tanks, batteries in the luggage but thats about all I think its good for (for me anyway).

yea defiantly skip the blu i had one a few years back and it was a total waist of money and did nothing to stop my cig cravings it just does not perform well enough to be of any help.

while i have never tried a volt i have heard good things considering its size, if i were you i would skip the small e-cigs as they are just to much work to keep performing well and for the same price you could get an ego kit with a vivi nova head and not have to worry about charging you battery all the time or running out of juice, just charge it up at night fill the tank in the morning and you should be good to go for the day, swap battery's when you get home from work or just when it feels like its getting weaker. but for most people a ego battery will last most the day and the kits usually come with 2.

Blu helped me to quit smoking almost two years ago. Back then, it was a decent kit and I even turned friends on to it to help them quit. Today, things have progressed a lot. If you want a cig-style kit look at the Volt. If you want a mid-grade setup, look into the eGo stuff. I use an eGo setup at work and a Lavaube/Vivi Nova setup at home. Couldn't be happier!

I have to disagree with the comments about Blu Customer Service though. I always had good experiences with their CS department. I returned a few components and had no problems whatsoever.

My dealings with volcano is they are over priced. However OP for your smoking habits, one of the most respected on the forum for a cig look alike is the Volt from Smokeless Image, they have a great product wonderful customer service, and good pricing.

this. if you absolutely can't have it any other way and NEED to have a cigarette look-a-like, there is simply no comparison to the volt.....just be sure to buy a few batteries and a PCC if you go that route, because the batteries are gonna die.
