Only thousands? Keep looking! Seriously, I have 4 ego style batteries, all VV, a protank I use daily, a couple of cheap carto tanks I use occasionally. If I was just starting now, I would probably get an itaste MVP 2 or vv 3. Still would get a protank 1 or 2. They're easy to use, easy to change juice. The real issue will be finding a juice that you like, budget for lots of experimenting on juice...

I second this, mvp is $42 on ebay get a protank one or 2 unless you want the dual coils that are a little bit more and get a aerotank or protank

There are a few different options you have to consider. If you are looking to keep it on the cheaper side you will want to go with pen style. I would recommend getting either a ego battery or a vision spinner. I have owned both of these in the past and both were wonderful. That being said, you need to make the decision between variable voltage and non variable voltage. A variable voltage battery will allow you to control the voltage that is going to the atomizer and heating your coils. Most VV batteries range from 3.3 to 4.8 volts. The lower voltage will be a cooler vape with less vapor production and the higher voltage will be the opposite. However, you need to be careful on the higher setting because you will burn the coils faster. The second option you could take, if you have the money to spend, is buying a MOD. A MOD will give you more control over what you are vaping. Most MODs I have come by have been variable voltage and variable wattage. Using the wattage setting is more trustworthy because the two modes are not independent of each other. These are the two best options you will have. An Ego battery will be around $30 U.S. dollars, and a MOD will likely cost around $200 initially.

Congrats on quitting smoking, that is a huge step and something to be very proud of.
Me and my wife have been 7 days now without a cigarette and been using the Halo Tank system kits. We love them and the variety of liquids that come in the sampler pack are great.
We went all out when we bought our kits and spent $200 on everything, but you can get the starter kits for just $69.99 and that includes TWO FULL SETUPS, then you just buy your liquids.
For the money we spent we are super happy with the product and couldn't be happier.
I am sure there are cheaper ways to get started but for us we went with the best quality we could find so it would last longer.
Look them up, Halo Eciggs and just check out what all they offer.
Hope this helps.
