Im buying the EVOD via myEcig website so going to buy some e-liquid from there as well to keep it in one bundle.

Can you guys recommend a decent liquid thats like a uk brand of say anything like b&h, sterling, l&b etc? Mainstream cig tastes?

Thanks again for all your help :)

If you buy on Myepack, you'll only have Dekang to choose from.

You can either take a chance, or google things like "Dekang review". There are comments/reviews on the site too. I wrote a comment on 2 of them. Maybe just pick two to get started. They won't taste like B&H etc. but they can be nice. Trouble is, some people really don't like any of them at all. USA and plain Tobacco are popular, but I find them too sweet.
Lots of places sell "Silver and Gold" liquid.... that's even sweeter.

I prefer the dry and nutty types, but they barely taste like a cigarette.

Here's my recommendation: How To Start Vaping - Soronlin
If you follow that path, you will save money and waste as little as possible on dead-ends. But vaping can become an insidious money sink if you let it.

Vape Escape do prefilled cartomisers in the same flavours as the eliquids they sell, which makes moving to refilling simple... if you like the flavours. Their HS Delight is my all-day vape, (I smoked Golden Virginia,) and it is available in a pre-filled cartomiser. They are not the cheapest source of eliquid though.

You will never find a tobacco flavour eliquid that tastes close to real burning tobacco. There are many, many tobacco flavours, several of which purport to be similar to certain cigarette brands but, whatever they are called, they are nothing like smoke. Finding an eliquid you like is a whole new game. Many people find that they actually settle on a fruit or desert flavour.

First of all it is a little more difficult for me to reply since I live in the US and I am aware things can be more expensive in the UK. So I am certain US suppliers may result in a higher cost to you. I started as you did with the branded cig-a-likes to be specific branded Kanger kr808 types and purchased filled cartomizers. Ouch! Not only expensive but I found them very inconsistent with quality of vapor production and amount of liquid in each cartomizer. That pushed me to fill my own. I must say I did get good results with cartomizers (blank) from V2 brand.

Electronic Cigarettes | V2 Cigs

As others have said in this threat it may be best to move on to an Ego or Evod type systems with a tank. Much better vape, easier to refill, and holds more e-liquid. Be advised if you are still in the early phase of stopping cigarettes there is a size difference and they may feel clumsy.

Your choice of liquids is the final cost decision. Chinese manufacture are by far less expensive. Two of the largest and most reputable are Dekang and Hangsen. If you order direct from a Chinese supplier your cost can be as low as $5.00 (US) per 50ml. Usually in quantities of 5-10 bottles minimum order. Also be aware there may be import duties and the shipping and customs clearing results in about a 30 day wait. Order ahead. Here are some trusted China vendors. I hope it helps!

I would also strongly recommend you purchase an atomizer for testing juices. Much easier to clean if new juice is "yucky".
Joye 510 Atomizer with Logo in 10 colors - $6.51 : My Ecig Supply, The best place to get e-cigarette, e-liquid, e-juice, joye 510, joye ego, joye 510-t, Joye ego-t, cartomizers, electronic cigarettes, and much more!
Atomizer/ Atty- an element in a metal tube on to which 2-3 drops of juice is dripped- usually used for testing new juices because attys are easy to clean.

I start all my New Vapors out on Ego 650mah batteries with CE5 Clearomizers. Not the best out there, but an excellent start up combo at a price any convert can afford.
2 basic kits, giving the user batteries to rotate and 2 tanks for different flavors as an option as well as a spare battery charger could cost less than 1/2 the cost of a carton of Cigs.
Batteries can take 300+ charges
Clearomizers properly mantained can last from several months to over a year - * and those are disposable parts.:D
Just add your liquid purchases as required and Vape!

Rcvd my EVOD kit today and i must say WOW! Compared to the nicolitte crap ive been throwing money at the last couple of weeks im speechless to what a difference there is!

The refill looks like its going to last ages, been giving it a good test today and its hardly moved, this is defo going to save me a few quid.
The setup was so really easy and i was puffing away to my hearts content after 2 minutes. It looks pretty neat too which is a nice added bonus :D

The BH Son and the Flue Cured juice is a bit of a weird taste i must admit but I get a great vapour hit which is exactly what i was after. Im going to order some fruit ones, guess its all about the trial and error phase now.

One quick question.. how long are the coils expected to last? Ive got 7 in total for starters.

Also many many thanks for all the advice on here, i really think this has helped me on the right path to finally putting the evil cancer sticks to pasture.

Glad it's going so well
I don't use the Evods but they can be maintained. My heads (wick+ coil) last 10 weeks with maintenance. High VG and/ or dark juice will clog the coil quicker. You'll know when it's time to clean the head when fresh juice goes dark after filling the tank or the vape tastes "funky". After dry burning rinse with water.
Washing cleans the tank and wicks. Dry burn cleans the coil. Sometimes we use PGA or vodka to soak darkly stained wicks.

Best of Luck

Many Thanks, appreciated!
I was lucky....I was a roll-up smoker for 13yrs. Then I won a nemesis mod. Haven't smoked since. Got myself 3 liquids from ltecigs spent less than a tenner and has lasted me 3 weeks. Got a x6 vv mod ( I know its not a "real" vv ) and a carto tank with 3 extra cartomizers. All in I spent about 50 quid. 35 less than last month.

You're welcome. After awhile if you want to save even more $$ you can rebuild your own heads- whether you do it sooner or later don't toss your old heads out. Here's a link and the only thing different I do is torch the wire before installing. Can also use diff materials for wick. I like cotton. Realize also you'll need a digital multi tester so if you're considering this down the road keep an eye open for a DMM on sale. A DMM also comes in very handy for easily diagnosing gear related issues- a must for all vapers IMHO.
Rebuilding the Evod (or the Protank)
Cheers.

Edit: Don't know if you have this list but compliments of Chrissie here's a link to reputable U.K. Vendors with discount codes. Note also at top of page a link to a map of B&M Shops:

Great news cfc!

So, you went for BH son and Flue Cured. Good starters. I'm on and off flue cured, sometimes I really do like it.

If you want to try fruity, have a look on LT ecigs.

Fruits & Others

Bahrani Gold gets a mention all over the place. Not been tempted myself. Sounds a bit weirdy beardy e-shisha to me.
Watermelon gets rated, but it's a "marmite" flavour.

I always enjoyed things like Mango flavour, and Lime too. However, the Dekang versions are thoroughly loaded with extra "natural" (?) extracts (herbs and spices)...

If you buy UK "fruit" you get "fruit".... plain and simple.

Glad it's working out. I was hopeful for some more Triple 5 today from myepack, but just got a gas bill... :(

Thanks mate, i must admit its taking a bit of time to get use to vaping via the EVOD. The nicoliites felt much more "ciggie" in taste, pull and hold that its taking time to get use to. It feels like im back in egypt smoking on the sheesh again :D

My EVOD has run into a couple of slight issues, ive had two coils go down on me already (the ones pre-installed) so i just hope i got a bit unlucky there. The juice can really go quick hey!! But ive only filled up 3 times in the last day or two and there is still over 3/4 of a 20ml bottle to go so looks good there, should save a ton of money compared to the nicolittes!

Another issue was i ordered 18mg and got 12mg, probably while im dragging on this thing like its the last thing i do! The flue cured is ok but a bit chippy after a while, the BH Son is rough though lol... wont be getting that again

Ive ordered 10ml bottles (for trial) of:

Crystal Menthol Premium 18mg
Cherry (thought id try a fruit) 12mg
RY4 (12mg)
Triple 5 (12mg)

Went for some variety in the hope i will find what i like and can stick to.

Can you suggest a good uk vendor that has decent juice that is around 16mg? I think 12 is too low and 18 a bit high. I found Charlies Vape Shop but couldnt find too many reviews.

If you can't find 16 mg, you might try this: once you find a flavor you definitely like, buy equal amounts 12 and 18, and mix together in a larger bottle, which will give you 15 mg (or use a wee bit less of the 12 to come closer to 16). I'm currently doing this with a flavor at 12 mg and 6 mg to get 9 mg.

Funnily enough ive had the two coils go down already, they were the ones in the evod pack so might have just got unlucky. Bookmarked the rebuilding evod link, looks easy enough so will order the wire and wick. Looking at the link they dont do .18mm only .16 and .20, will using either be an issue? Thanks

I got my DK Tab today in 12mg and some more (yes, I know...) Triple 5 also in 12mg.
I vape anything, strength-wise. I wanted a flavour that was only in 24mg, so I bought it and made sure to puff a few puffs less.

t.b.h. 2 months after starting vaping, I took a full clearo out on the pub crawl. I never even noticed it was 10mg. No problems at all.
I would say, if you find 18mg a bit strong, just go with 12mg.

Listen to yourself, don't stress about the numbers on the bottle. If you end up puffing 12mg a few more "drags" and that is annoying, then you'll know what's up. :)

Yeah QC from Chinese is questionable BUT at least they've designed them so we can rebuild them. I/ most use 32 gauge Kanthal A1 with 2 mm silica wick. There's also Ekowool- braided silica wick with a hollow core= more area to soak up juice.
Here's another 2 vids:

How to rebuild Kanger atomizer heads - YouTube

Like you said there's no rush and when you're ready as you've made great strides already
Cheers.
