Hey guys, I've had the Nautilus for about 3 months now, ordered two tanks from viper vape. I loved these tanks, but for some reason or another I went through 10 coils in less than two weeks! I primed them, I've put 1-2 drops on them before installing them, and I get a TERRIBLE scorched taste from them, 2.1 ohm coils running at 3.5 volts using an EVOD VV and an eVic, same results.

I am getting desperate and don't know what else to do, these tanks were like steamboats, but it seems the coils are getting really bad quality control because my last batch of 10 coils was horrendous. Is there anyone here having the same issues with these tanks?

The Protank is a better solution IMO. I'm all for Kangertech. I don't think any atomizer is good until a fresh rebuild honestly. Mainly silica wick isn't my deal. Would rather rebuild a cotton daily than use a longer lasting silica. From what I've heard aspire has changed the atty setup to a vertical coil much improving the original setup.

Had the same problems, even AFTER I rebuilt the coils. At the same time that I bought the Nautilus, I also bought a Kanger Aerotank and to my surprise, I liked the AeroTank MUCH more than the Nautilus! Better flavor, easier to rebuild coils and absolutely no problems. So much so that I just ordered 2 more Aerotanks and added 2 NEW Kanger Air Flow Control 2. The Nautilus has been demoted to Emergency status and is now living in a drawer with my Evod tanks from my 1st starter kit.

Seems I'n not the only one in this boat, I can temporarily take away the scorched flavor by literally flooding the coil with juice and vaping it, then it will give about 10 draws and then taste like garbage. Seems the wicking is a big issue here, I've tried 50/50 blends and even 80 PG/ 20 VG mixes hoping that thinner juice would help.....it didn't, zero nada....

The new coil designs for the nautilus mini, with vertical coils, have gotten a lot of praise.

As stated by Grimm (AND PBusardo in one of his videos) yes, the BVC is simply a miniature cartomizer. But hey I used carto tanks for two years with very few problems, so maybe Aspire is really onto something.

Also as stated by GrimGreen and Busardo, these BVC heads are compatible with the regular 5ml nautilus tanks. So don't be so quick to just discard yours yet, these new heads are definitely worth a shot in my opinion.

I have an Aerotank Mega and a Nautilus... I enjoy both personally, and I haven't tried the BVCs in my nautilus yet, but I'm going to as soon as I get the chance.
