Several months back I went on a vape spending spree. I tried the Volcano Inferno, Magma & Blu starter kits, but wound up disappointed with them all. Blu battery life sucked, and I didn't want to have to rely on buying cartridges from them. They seemed to have good quality control, however, and they were what convinced me I could ditch regular cigarettes. Blu may be inferior, but they work and their marketing helps get the word out. Props to them for getting me interested in all of this.
The inferno Ego batteries were great, but dripping was a PITA and the tankomizers of the time were messy and problematic. I tried cartomizers & clearomizers as well, but everything felt like a cheap compromise and required a lot of fiddling. When I bought the magma and the tips fell off 2 batteries within an hour of opening the package, I gave up and called it all offshore crap.
I've gone back to smoking cigarettes, but am really trying to kick the habit now. I did quite a bit of reading, and decided to order a Reo 18490, which arrived today. It's all black and not very photogenic with my lights, but man it looks nice. The all aluminum craftsmanship is nearly perfect. It's a lot smaller than I expected, too, about the same height as a BIC lighter, but double the width/depth. It just sits well in your hand.
I really like the minimal design and the bottle/battery have lasted me about 7 hours so far. I'm also happy that all I really have to worry about is an atty/drip tip, without the hassle of dripping. I realize tanks have come a long way, but they still seem complicated and the choices are overwhelming. Bottom feeding is the way to go right now, imo. "Squonking" is NOT HARD, especially if you've ever dripped before. You just have to learn when/how to do it.
I'm vaping some of my old Volcano juice right now, and the throat hit is a bit harsh, but still a pleasant vape that's keeping me away from my cigarettes. I've got some 100% VG juice on the way from avejuice.com.. Boba's Bounty & Gorilla Juice, based on all the raving.
Any Reo owners have a favorite atty for these specific juices? Any drip tips that get people excited?
My order did come short a few items I ordered, but I've already written in about it and from the customer satisfaction around here I expect they'll make it right.
