Completely new to vaping (got my first kit 2 weeks ago), and I was having some trouble getting everything tuned to my preferences. I started with the basic Ego-510 starter kit, which comes with some pretty bleh carts and attys. I have luckily only been smoking a relatively short time compared to some of our veterans (roughly 6 months) and was only on about half a pack a day, but I just couldn't quite stop the cravings for those nasty things because I couldn't get my vape to a place where it would fully replace it.

Well that stopped today. Went to Vapebash since I happen to live north of the windy city, and I'm fully glad I did. The atmosphere was great, and all of the vendors were super helpful. Having only a handful of knowledge, they were able to guide my novice-self through an array of different cartos, clearos, and even a tank!

And then there was the liquid. Good Lord all of that delicious, amazing liquid.

The best part was that none of the vendors appeared to get short or exhausted with me. They were happy to help and explain things to make sure my experience with vaping was as good as can be.

At the end of the day, I added quite a few liquids/pieces of equipment to my collection (even picked up an ego-Twist), had a great time, and filled in quite a few of the holes that plagued my vaping knowledge.

(Sorry if this isn't the right forum, I'm new and I'm pretty sure this is the only forum I can post in. I just HAD to share :D)

That's great! I'm so jealous! Maybe ill be able to make one in the near future but I'm sure ill have to travel at least a couple of hours to get to one. Hummmm I went to grad school in michigan & love Chicago. I was just thinking...it would be wonderful if they did a vapebash around the same time as the Taste of Chicago! My 2 favorite things together...food & vape gear & supplies! Now that would be worth the trip!! Sorry...I got side tracked! Glad you had an awesome time!

Welcome to the forum!

I can sense from your post that you are excited after the meet.......me too! It's been even bigger and better than last year.

If any of you ever get a chance to attend any of these meets - even small ones - I can't stress enough how much fun they are and how they open up the world of vaping to you. Frosted Over is correct: vapers are extremely generous in helping others out, regardless of what you are using or what your vaping preferences are.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Welcome to the forum, and, Oh My.. Can you believe all the people there? Looking forward to more like this one. I live 4 hours away, but the wife and I made it a long weekend and she had as much fun as me. (probably more).

Everyone involved with vaping is so passionate about it. They love to share everything they can, and absolutely enjoy turning new people into full fledged vapers.
