I call BS on the above issue, one complaint out of how many customers GMO? If it is tasting like they state then it is their tank somehow or burnt wick. You are worried about it because you care about what you do. I agree that this person likely goes through life complaining about every purchase that they ever make so they get coupons for free lunches and dinners, free movie tickets...... on and on.

I'm looking to spice up my Home Thread, but I can't do contests! Any ideas? I'm open to anything ECF will allow.

I don't know, it's been done quite a bit on the contest thread , but maybe post tree pics here instead of there, since the conversation is great over there

However - IMO - I would reverse it and limit the contest thread to having the weekly contest where there could be a theme . . . Like the posting of Tree Images again or maybe something else . . . . AND - Then move all the conversations over here . . . That way all the "Tree_Peeps" could help move this thread along the way with our "Chit Chat" and even let more people know about Your "E-Liquids" and other products too . . . While "We" continue "Our" Daily Discussions . . .

+1 on Uncle's suggestion. Conversations here wouldn't be limited to the 15 minute rule or back to back posts. The contest thread could have various themes.

That sounds alright, I'm all for "discussion".

However, if someone comes to this thread looking for "discounts, promotions, updates" they would find something completely different. It may sound boring to keep this thread business like, maybe it needs a title change? If not...

I've noticed the Discounts and Sales page hasn't changed in a long time. It's not my place to ask for a change, but I would suggest some variety every week or two (or month). It could encourage a new customer make the first purchase, or a return customer to try a new flavor they weren't thinking about.

Yeah, I like Uncle's Idea
Have a theme to the contest like posting trees or something it kinda bothers Me when I see a contest that is covered with "I want to win" posts. I think there should be some sort of effort put in it, it don't have to be much but it should require at least a modicum of effort, something other than just clicking the post quick reply button. And I'm not sure about ECF rules but sales discounts & promos might be able to be included in the contest threads.

And to be completely honest I don't go to the GMO contest to win juice, truth be told I have quite a stock pile of juice, sadly not too much of it is GMO, but the few i have or had are very good. But I really should use up what I have before gathering too much more. I go there because it's a great place to hang out with awesome people. And if I did win for as much as I would enjoy the juice I would probably try to, on that thread PIF it to someone who has never tried it or "needs" it more than I. So I guess if possible have a contest/promo thread and then a hang out thread.

Thanks for the ideas, Tree Peeps!

One thing that I, personally, CANNOT do is promote my products or website in the Contest Thread.. I can't mention sales, discounts, promotions in my CONTEST thread. Contests threads are strictly for contests, on MY part. This is ECF Rules that I MUST abide by !!

The Contest Thread has a GREAT group of people.. Tree People...that I'm proud to be a part of! And I want to keep that intact.. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" SO, I'm, tempted to do nothing to mess that up.

I'll be thinking about it and then I'll go from there. Thanks, Tree People!

A Small change in next weeks Contest Thread.. A new, different way of handling "enhancements" to prize winner.

Also, a BIG chance in this Home Page. It is being retired in favor of a new page with, I hope, more activity. I need for the page (AND me) to do a better job. I'm hoping for more Chit-Chat.. more technical information.. more discussion.. and I will be more focused on what's going on.
