My only problem with super concentrates is the candy taste from many of the fruits. Just a guess, but the more "accurate" flavors are probably impossible to concentrate to such a degree, and are more likely to have some natural flavoring. I only have 4 or 5 different combinations that I like so far, but I'm honestly not trying very hard. Next purchase, some Vapetree e-liquid. The purchase after that will be for a few TFA flavors. I'm getting low on any type of vendor juice and I don't find my own stuff as reliable or tasty just yet. Maybe in a few more months I'll get the hang of this.

The highlight of my day was finally making a dual coil setup that I like, in an IGO-W. This time, I bothered to look up the resistance per inch and measure the Kanthal for precisely the right ohms. Two 2 ohm coils 4/5 wrap of 32 gauge around 2mm Ekowool, it came out at exactly 1.00 ohm(s). I can't say it's any better flavor/vapor production than a single coil of lower gauge with a few more wraps using a single air hole cap, but it's something. It eats juice twice as fast, I don't know if I care for that...

Did you make a U-shaped wick, or two separate ones?

I started with a "coaster loop", but cut it in half to get more wick close to the deck. The biggest advantage to Ekowool that I have found so far, is being able to stick a straightened paperclip though the center. Wrapping even coils is really easy. I would like to try cotton sometime, but without being able to see the liquid level it seems like a burnt wick would be very likely with RDA and other SS tanks. YMMV, especially on that topic.

I took the easy way out for DIY. I have made a bottle of ready-to-vape liquid for each flavor I have, separately. I'm working with super concentrates, approx 2.5-3% works with most of them. If I want some watermelon with strawberry, all I have to do is mix the two together in very small batches until I get the balance I'm looking for. I've done the same process for a tropical tobacco with pineapple and coconut, and I like it a lot. Whether it's right or wrong, it's how I do it and it's working well. Working with super concentrates, I'm lucky I get anything tasty.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your method. Just make sure you keep good notes just like any good diyer. That way you can repeat your successes and not repeat your mistakes. :)

And I just read a little further and noticed that you want to try cotton wicks. I just started experimenting with cotton. The flavor is slightly better, but you can't dry burn it. You know that already. I haven't had any problems with letting my wicks get too dry. You actually notice a flavor change and a reduction in vapor production before the wick ever gets dry enough to burn. And its really cheap, so thats a great thing for those of us trying to save $. I bought 200 yards of crochet yarn at the craft store for $3. I could mail you some if you're interested.

I use a "Jacoji Loop." I fold some wick under the coil so that it touches the deck. The loop is right over the drip-tip hole so you can drop it right down the center. Torching the Ekowool helps you shape the loop and the folds. It's important, of course, that the coils are covered by the wick folds so that the bottom vaporizes juice too.

If you give it a shot, please let me know how it goes.

I like that wick configuration, RPad. Might have to give it a try in the near future. You know, when the bf decides to give back my Igo-W. :D

I just hit 1000 posts! Guess that means I officially spend too much time on ECF.

Congrats on 1,000 posts! Here's an Instagram vid of the Jacoji Loop:

That looks cool! I've been using short-wicks for faster flavor changes, but may have to try this on my Igo-w. Leave my cheapo RDAs for taste-testers...

I was reminded this morning that all the comments that people made on my juices was lost, somehow, on my website.

If you feel like it, I'd appreciate your leaving a review on my website. Just go to the juice and there is a button to press to leave a Review. I welcome ALL reviews from anyone who has tried a juice, good review or bad review. To me, any comment is helpful to me as a juice designer. Was it P.T. Barnum who said that there is no BAD publicity?
