I agree, jac. Bad reviews might cause trouble, but I've always been helped when someone says that they don't like xyz juice because it is abc. I'm ALWAYS looking to improve.

Edit: and NO reviews on Amazing Strawberry. HUMMMM
When I get mine I will review!
then you'll have at least one :)

Thanks for the interest, Susan. I worked for over 30 years as a Stained Glass Artist and also hand beveled glass. Glassman has always been taken in every email address, so I chose glassmanoak to distinguish myself and to honor the many beautiful oak trees near where I live.

Uncle - I crack up every time I see that smiley tree.

Glassmanoak - I've been wondering about your nick. What's the glass part about. I'm assuming you are a man and like trees so I think I get that part. I love glassy stuff, that's why I'm wondering.

Sweet!! Do you have pictures of your stained glass work? I'd love to see it. I tried stained glass for a short period but I never got good at it. I can't do anything precise and my hands couldn't handle all the injuries. Now, I only cut small pieces of glass up for fusing and I only do it once or twice a year. I still get cuts all over the place and I don't even realize I've got cut until I see the blood. (sorry about being so graphic)

I did not enjoy hand beveling glass, but I did get good at it. The room with the beveling machines had about a dozen buckets to catch runoff water (to recycle the grit). Trying to deal with mosquitoes while holding a piece of glass perfectly steady for what seemed like forever was maddening.

I ordered an Ithaka clone this morning, based on the reviews. I just hope it doesn't completely blow away my genesis RBAs, I'm pretty invested at this point.

I don't expect everyone to know what I'm talking about, but I received a top cap insert for my RSST today. It reduces the amount of airspace in the chamber by over half. The difference is night and day. It's amazing how one little chunk of delrin can transform a vaping experience. My AGA-T may never get used again, which is a shame because I have two beautiful painted glass tubes for it.

What kind of do dahs? Like little charm thingys? I put this one together last weekend:
bling.jpg

I had leftover gingko leaves that I made for another project so I just threw this together for fun. I love dichroic glass tacked fused so the layers show better than it melted into a cab. I did these a while ago:
nailfiles.jpg

All scrap dichro and as you can see, nothing is accurately cut. One of the reasons why I found stained glass so difficult to do.

I'll track down some pics and post them later

I'm going to be selling some Dichroic Glass do dahs later.. Fused glass

Wish I knew "You" a long time ago . . .

This was the first piece of Stain-glass I ever owned (1979-ish'):

Xdxvo45.jpg

Although "You" cannot see it well - the colour of the glass were Amber, Blue, Green and Red . . . Matter of fact, a very good Friend of mine even made a custom frame out of Clear Yellow Oak for "Me" with interlocking joints and recessed oak wooden pins . . .
AnimatedGIF-BigGrinSmiley.gif

It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and I "Loved" it . . .

Then on of those notorious type of moving days you never want to happen, because everything is and has been going wrong in your life  , someone (* Cough * Cough * One of "My" Supposed Loving Brothers) who didn't care what anything was, because he was being "forced" to help "Me" move - saw the Stain-glass Window and actually drop a box right on top of it while it was nestled on the couch waiting to be covered & wrapped in a quilt . . .

WHAM - BANG - CRACK ! ! !. . . I WAS TOTALLY DEVASTATED . . .

AND - Although there where only a couple of cracks (and looking back now - not that bad) that could have been fixed - I just couldn't look at it - At All . . . Even though it was originally valued at approximately $1,500.00 and still had value - I actually gave it away . . .Something, to this very day, I really deeply regret doing . .

. . .especially since "You" might of been able to fix for "Me" . . . ;)

I love home grown tomatoes. I got used to them and can't stand store bought ones now. Wish I lived closer to you. Course, this season, doesn't sound like you got a lot of extras to spare.

Time to pick some tomatoes...not many left now that are ripe..small fruit bearing season.
