10/23 Entry #1 . . .
Well - "MoringNite" - "Tree People" . . .
Start of a NEW DAY . . .
@ "tiggerrts" & @ "Schnarph" - First no need to apologize . . . I just appreciate that you are willing to help "Me" figure this out . . . SO - Thank You to both of Ya' . . .
@ "tiggerrts" - Again - Thanks . . . I'll be waiting to see if you have anything to add to "Schnarph's" Post . . .
@ "Schnarph" - Yep - Seeing all the different replacement
batteries without finding the specific model number (unless it was the APC branded battery at a higher cost) was the reason I was getting frustrated and confused . . . From the 2 you found - I also found the second one for $16.50 shipped, but wasn't sure if it would be the alright . . . However after comparing the photos of both of them to the original battery, I can see that with the first one the terminals are totally different, so probably would not work (I would have to strip the "plug" from the wire on the unit and then solder them to the battery - which ain't happening . . . Nope - Na Da - Not as mechanically inclined as "You" . . .

) . . . Now - As you mentioned, it would be taking a chance given that they are both generics, but probably worth it at that price compared to having "Battiers Plus" replace the battery for $40.00 or to purchase another NEW APC for over $50.00 or more . . . Plus I really dislike becoming a member of the "disposable" society we've become and just trowing away "Stuff" to
buy new without trying to get it fixed first . . .
BTW: I would rather take the opinion of "some stranger offering 3rd party info via the internet" that I trust like "You" - then from a stranger at the store just trying to sell "Me" something I really do not NEED . . . As the associated tried to do . . . Battery replacement $40.00, however we are having a sale and you can upgrade to the APC 550 model for an additional $15.00 + Tax . . . So unless "tiggerrts" finds anything different - looks like I'll be getting the one for $16 . . .
Again, A BIG - THANK YOU TO BOTH Of YA' . . .
