I made a vertical coil for a Protank last night. I'm glad I didn't give them all away, this is pretty nice. I didn't take any pics, maybe I'll get around to that on the next one.

I've been meaning to try that schnarph. How did you insulate the top-leg? Tuck wick between that and the coil?

Exactly. 1/16th inch drill bit just happens to fit through the 510 center pin (air intake). I untwisted the middle of a length of 3mm silica so it would go around both sides of the coil. It seems like logical way to make a coil for a Protank, but I'm guessing most folks will need to pictures before it will make sense.

It was only my first try, I didn't know if it would get too hot. I just finished a second one with a tiny piece of 2mm Ekowool around the coil to insulate the top leg, and cotton around that to wick in liquid from the tank. PIA. No matter how good this one works, I can't suggest it.

I hope you're right! I worked on it long enough and hard enough. Personally, I really like it, but I truly love the Butterscotch taste, in general!

I wish i had made it! Tish said it went well. Biggest meet yet! And that they raised nearly 500 for vape a vet charity!
