A tree says: A kernel is hidden in me, a spark, a thought, I am life from eternal life. The attempt and the risk that the eternal mother took with me is unique, unique the form and veins of my skin, unique the smallest play of leaves in my branches and the smallest scar on my bark. I was made to form and reveal the eternal in my smallest special detail.

Wow that is so philosophical jj, love that and the tree carving too! :)

A tree says: My strength is trust. I know nothing about my fathers, I know nothing about the thousand children that every year spring out of me. I live out the secret of my seed to the very end, and I care for nothing else. I trust that God is in me. I trust that my labor is holy. Out of this trust I live.

I thought this quite interesting, it's Music From A Tree! I wish I had time to do something like this and probably would if I wasn't here on ecf all the time! What some people can do, amazing, creative and fun! :thumb:

Quoting Diego Stocco:
In the garden of my house there's a tree with lots of randomly grown twigs. It looks odd and nice at the same time. One day I asked myself if I could create a piece of music with it.

To tune the tree I picked a fundamental note and tuned the twigs by trimming them with a pencil sharpener. I used two Røde NT6 and a NTG-2 as microphones, combined with a customized stethoscope.

I recorded the tracks live on a Pro Tools LE system. I didn't use any synthesizer or sampler to create or modify the sounds. All the sounds come from playing the tree, by bowing the twigs, shaking the leaves, playing rhythms on the cortex and so on.

Did I just see Schnarph with a Provari???

The only bad thing I can say about it is not it's fault at all, but the wrap from J-Wraps just doesn't fit. I didn't expect it to go around the curved edge on the bottom of the 18650 cap, but they could at least have gotten the main tube covered from top to bottom. I only got the wrap to protect the paint job for as long as possible, and that's it's only positive feature. It takes many pairs of beer goggles to miss the green paint job poking out the top and bottom (not that I would drink that much). If VaporSkinz does a better job I'll give it a try, but this time I'll read some reviews and/or look for pics of the product "in action".

The jm mod is awesome, it put a Natural (my favorite) back in it's box. And I thought bottom firing mods were not my thing, apparently this one fits the bill thanks to the very short height and grooves to grip it right where they need to be. I really didn't like the Chi-Chi-You-You, but this thing is "just right". To think it costs the same as the J-Wrap that didn't fit. :glare:

Ever buy something on a whim expecting to give it away as a present, only to find out you like it too much? Apologies to the unnamed recipient that wasn't expecting anything anyways, I'll send you something else.

No matter. I'm PIF'ing left and right lately. :)

Edit: forgot my tree pic...

I've "met" many excellent people that are regulars on this thread through our love of Valley View Vapes products. Now that Ray has sold the company and VVV is currently in hiatus, some of you might be looking for a new place to buy tanks. May I humbly suggest IBTanked? It's a California company that makes some really excellent glass carto/tanks. The owner has a background in machining and really knows his glass (he spoke to me for 20 minutes about glass tolerances and I just nodded as if I understood 1/10th of what he told me). The caps on IBTanked tanks are crazy thin and the products use a unique refilling tool called a "thingie" that also doubles as a case. Here's my chat with IBTanked from Vapetoberfest.
