You must have a ton of rocks Snarf, been at that for a while.
"a ton"? Even doing the job with hand tools and a wheelbarrow, I would estimate over a ton moved each day I do this. A few more hours tomorrow and I'll be done, until it rains again next week.
Living on a hill has it's advantages when it rains 12 inches in one night, the valley folk get flooded. Folks up on a hill like myself lose topsoil and gravel from driveways when it rains buckets. I'd still rather be where I am than flooded... been there done that, very unpleasant. Besides, I like the work. It beats sitting at a desk glued to a screen and phone. No offense to anyone that does that...
2-3 days of rain are expected here during the beginning of the week, thus my efforts to do what I can before it gets worse. Again, I'm just glad I don't live in the lower floodplain areas. Many folks lost their homes last week. "Turn around, don't drown" didn't work for everybody either.
That's more than enough substance for now. My hands aren't doing that great, no more typing for me. You folks have a nice evening.
