12/04 Entry #2 . . .
To bad "You" are not a Verified Member yet (BTW: Ya' Really should check out becoming one) - there is a Co-Op going on right now that has a really GREAT Special Order SS Zmax Mini VV/VW with 2 different End Caps (for 18350/18490-500 batteries) & an additional Tube for 18650 batteries you can purchase too - there is also some other extras you could get . . . IMO - beats the "Provari" (especially for the cost) . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Uncle I see you've never owned a Provari , I never owned a Zmax but I did own a Vmax, no comparison at all the Provari is a lot better!

Ah - So True - So True - "My" Friend . . . I DO NOT OWN A "Provari" . . . :(

Not Saying I wouldn't . . . Just That I Don't . . . THE SHAME OF IT ALL . . .

However - As I kinda of mentioned in "My" Original Post about the cost this particular APV - The Custom SS ZMax Mini's "Is Less Expensive" - and for some people (Like "Me") a "ProVari" can be and is prohibitive . . . Now I have no intention on starting a "ProVari" vs ? ? ? ? War and which is better or not, especially since there is enough of that already out there on ECF . . . But after reading a number of post in this current Co-Op and the original Co-OP (where I got one) from People there who own 1 or more "ProVari's" is what I am basing "My" comments on and to any possible references about them both . . . SUCH AS: The same feel and weight of a "ProVari" in the Mini Mode . . . It also has VW, which from what I read "ProVari" does not have . . . AND - Here is the "kicker" anyone can buy 3 - 4 of the Custom SS ZMax Mini's (and there are 4 Different looking versions too) for the same price as the "ProVari" and not have to worry about taking it out of the house either . . . AGAIN - I only mention this as a possible option to some people - Not as a disparaging remark about or against "ProVari" . . . Just Sayin' . . .;)

Okay - Now Back to "Your" Regularly Scheduled Program . . . The Vape Tree . . . AND - Even more Importantly - the Release Today of a NEW FLAVOR . . .

I couldn't agree more about the cost. I could not get one now either, I was lucky enough to get mine when things were better financialy then they are now. I have never been a fanboy so I think maybe this was the second or third time I've ever mentioned it. I have been using my M16 Sentinel clone that I paid less than $20 for more than my Provari lately. ( I must add its the only APV that has lasted me more than 3 months before I found a way to break them, it will be 1yr old in Feb.) As long as it keeps you off analogs it doesn't matter what you use as long as it works for you! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Sky you need to rest with that...it's the only way it will get better....

3- Looks like physical therapy and some work outs to strengthen it, felt weird when she was checking and popped it in and out of the socket some ><.

g

whats RDA did you get?

I have been using my two Igo's almost exclusively for a month. another go at the fogger is in order, and a ithaka rebuild.
what is a user friendly RBA tank that is inexpensive, perhaps from FT?

Will have to look on one of them,
ATT-OCT The Octopus RDA x2
ATT-SQU The Squid RDA (Mini RDA)
IGO-L and another full size RBA with tank.

#2 I missed the Provari discussion, I had a full day. First, whatever works for you is all that is really important. Second, there is a big difference between 99% of Chinese APV's and ones made here, not just the Provari. The Provari, Crown, or Evolv product (DNA or genuine Kick) actually puts out what it's set to. Vamos, various ?-Max's, and Innokin APV's output less power than their settings, and this can vary quite a bit. A setting of 4 volts on a Provari will output ~4 volts, even under load. The Zmax might output closer to 3.5 volts when set to 4v, depending on load it could be worse. This doesn't matter if it's a Sigielei, SmokTech, KSD, or no-name, they all behave the same. Setting these mods to MEAN rather than AVG may give more power but it's still going to lie. It's like a mechanical mod's voltage drop, but since these APV's all perform the same regardless of the metals used for tubes and contacts, it's the circuitry that makes this difference. VW isn't all it's cracked up to be if said variable also varies between APV's. 9 watts on one device might be 7 or 8 on another, and you're never really getting the 15 watts max... maybe 12.5 if you're lucky. I've also heard the Provari is safer, and after having a Vamo permanently fry itself on a shorted atty I don't trust them very much in that respect.

None of this may matter to "you", especially if you can't afford or justify the cost. I don't particularly care either, I just know I have to set the Chinese APV a bit higher to get the same power that comes from a Provari. It's like knowing your speedometer is fibbing, just make the adjustment. Personally, I just wish I could buy the Provari board by itself for the price they charge for a replacement... under $50. I could make a lovely setup to go around that for pretty cheap. BTW, the DNA 20 chip is usually hard to get, kinda pricey @ ~$80, and pre-built DNA mods are really expensive.

Blah, blah, blah...
...carry on. :tumble:
