#4 I don't know what MKL would eat, I'd guess "soul food" of some kind, probably some greens, maybe a fried meat. The closest thing to that I had around was breaded fish and broccoli w/cheese, it was kinda healthy and I needed a change. I've been eating a lot of Mexican food lately.

Good job on the KFL, LD. I've never had a dry hit on mine, avoid too much cotton down in the chimney/deck and make sure it's loose/fluffy. Once the wick is initially wet with juice, I use a toothpick or pin to clear away wick from the little juice flow channels. If they get filled with wick it may clog. I bought the clear chimney and tank so I could see the coil and wick getting dirty, it happened faster than I would have guessed. I'm not sure if i'll use the clear chimney again, I don't really want to see that. I'm having to re-wick mine after ~3 refills or the gunk on the coil makes it taste off, it reminds me of a cartotank. So far I've only used cotton, I need to try silica at least once. #3 - I really need to get a RBA. Whenever I see someone talking about one and the experience you get from them I kick myself. I've been vaping since October so im a total noob. The guys at the vape shop downtown assure me that its really easy. I think the overwhelming amount of information just makes me over analyze the whole thing. Do rbas really provide a much more superior experience? With regards to flavor? I'm not really looking to chase clouds.

2: Neverside, I think almost everyone overthinks how hard it is to do any rebuildable device. Yes the first time your building it is tough and can be difficult, but you learn things not to do the next time and think of better methods for the next time. It gets easier and easier until it is nothing. After that any different device you get to rebuild is second nature.

well I have noticed that if ya use a 50/50 blend or more vg your coils go quick. At 70/30-80/20 they last for a couple weeks, at least mine did.I switched to 50/50 for some reason and I get maybe 3-4 days if that.Oh and cleaning the coils with a burn off is no go for me also, all I taste afterwards is burnt

#1 - Ahhh Monday. So I had an interview with potential client today that required me to dress professional... what a drag. So go to get dressed this morning and oh joy. Puppy got a hold of my belts and peed on my shoes this morning. The one time the closet door is open. Puppys are the best. What a great way to start the week. On top of all that. No vape mail today.
i missed that last read thru.
you could always return the favor?

i hadn't considered the clear chimney. i dont think i saw it until a week or two after i ordered mine. its brused ss and doesnt match the Nem as much as i'd like. but its a flush fit, and work well.
looking back at the site its listed as russian rba. there are SO many kinds.
last week, i impulsively ordered a KF 3.1 sov (or whatever its called....)
ill play with some builds, this one is working well though. thanks for the tip about keeping the cotton out of the wells. i didnt place them in the well, but it is quite possible they saturated and occupy the channels.
with a fill screw on the bottom its easy to fill, which is a big plus (if you are home by your syringe and screwdriver)

i felt the same way. and spent a lot of money frivolously trying to avoid rebuildables. now, i wouldnt go back.
if i spent the money on RBAs that i did on clearos and carts and tanks and heads, id have the exact same collection of RBA with the primary difference being - None of the would be clones
:)
take the plunge, buy a cheap $7 RDA from china; one of us (including myself) will send you some starter supplies and walk ya thru it.
you'll be glad you did.
on a related tangent - what kind of PV do you have?

agreed, i was of the same mind.

safe and pleasant travels Unc!
3: Go to the restroom and stealth vape Uncle ;)

01/20 Entry #3 . . .

Did that once - guess not to well - got caught - Thankfully the police officer did not arrest "Me" . . .

ohh, not so smooth :)

what i hated, was going outside thru security to smoke, and having to come back thru, wait in line, get fondled, replace belt and retie shoes, cross terminal, buy a 8$ plain bagel and cream cheese poorly covered in saran wrap (origins unknown), wait in line for plane with a dying phone that desperatly needs to hold a charge so you can call your ride when you touch down; followed by a nic fit on the plane, quick trip to the restroom full of ironic no smoking signs coupled with $250,000 fine warnings and the hazardous NO-PAPER-TOWEL sign on the trashcan lid directly below the PAPER TOWELS, and as you fearfully reach for your stealth egotwist to get one pull of the minty nicotine sustenance, someone knocks on the door, confidence in covert vaping session diminishes and you return to your seat. you notice your cell phone died.

this narrative is in no way a refection of your current experience, but similar to experiences i have had mended together.

i vape walking thru the terminals. some looks, but ive never been stopped.
i had tsa pull my vamo out once in security and ask where he can get one

#4 - Yeah that is kind where im at right now. Buying replacement heads or new tanks thanks to lingering flavors. Currently I have a ego c twist with a MVP v2 and a VTR on the way. I have had the ego c twist for way too long. But with all the options I wanted to get something that fit my needs. I'll be ordering the VTR on friday and hopefully the mvp if I can find it in stock somewhere. Really interested in the mvp v2 for being out and about as it's more lightweight.

#5 In response to recent posts...

I can't vape e-liquid with less than 60%VG without a burning throat feeling. I can eat ridiculously spicy food, but PG and menthol/mint/cinnamon e-liquids don't like me. It's odd, considering I could smoke American Spirit or Camels unfiltered... smoking and vaping aren't as related as I would have guessed. YMMV

The KFL ES (or +) is basically a Russian 91%. The original KFL (V1) did not have airflow control. I prefer the draw from a KF 3.1, it's 9% taller but doesn't whistle and seems a bit more "open". If you remember to lube the o-ring on the top cap that touches the chimney top, you can take off the top for refills. The KF 3.1 has a refill port on the bottom/side is hard to use without the perfect bottle tip, I tried once, gave up, and have been refilling from the top since. The KFL bottom refill screw is nice in some ways, I don't need a syringe when using GMO's bottles. :)

#2 I try to read all the posts in here, even though the RBA and RDA stuff is a little over my head right now. I want to start fiddling around by rebuilding Kanger heads, etc.
That's the perfect place to start.

Both of those are VW mods, and will word great with an RDA. IGOs are a good place to start. My first (which wasnt all that long ago) was an IGO-L.
The most satisfied i have ever been vaping (we are all chasing that dragon) was my first build on my Igo-L, 1.3 ohm loose coil on silica atop a vamo. i didnt know it could be that good.

from what i gather from you post, i have a 91%, with a 3.1 en route. The 3.1, hopefully a newer version that has AFC, is your preference. I presume the exact same build internally works?
