Good morning!
Second day of class today, but basically every day this week is the first day because I teach one class on Tuesday, one on Wednesday, and one on Thursday. The three hour classes are tough, but if there's a particular class I don't have to spend two days per week in class. I know, that's kind of twisted thinking.
I've been thinking about something for a couple of days--ever since it came up in this thread--and I've noticed something kind of funny. I personally spend time on ECF in general, and this thread in particular, because I genuinely like the people and I like getting to know everyone. I know that not everyone has something to say all the time, but I know that I'm not the only person here who wishes that there was a bit less of the "spam" posts--the posts just to get five daily entries that don't actually say anything. Sure, we all do it sometimes, but for some people that's all they ever post. I'm pretty sure that I said this a couple of days ago, but it's hard to root for someone when I don't know anything about them (other than they like to enter contests, that is!). The irony, of course, is that the people who do post just to enter are not likely to read the rest of the posts anywhere--preaching to the choir, I guess. I really don't want to start any drama, and now that I've said this I'm happy to let it go.
