I got vape mail! My MVP2 arrived and I'm loving it. My Protanks work just fine without an adapter and it came charged so I could use it right away.

#5 Congratulations. I quit smoking so I wouldn't die. I started having some breathing problems during allergy season So I made the switch. Had been a smoker for 29 years. (2/3rds of my life)

An ECF Veteran! Is that one year from sign update? I often wondered but never took the time to find out.

YEP - That is when "YOU" will become a Veteran . . . There use to be a thread dedicated to celebrating Veteran Status here on ECF, however the few people that ran it are either "Moved On" or have just stopped, since it seemed that there very little participation any longer . . . However, Once "You" hit that milestone there are some other threads & areas, including a few contest that will become open to "YOU" . . .

BTW: IMO- I think it has to do with your ECF "Handle"/"Nickname" - Very "Hippie-ish" (if that is a word ? ? ? ) . . .

I envy you guys -- have to admit I haven't put the last of the "stinkies" down....ugh I know so ashamed. But I do vape way more than smoke so hopefully soon I can make the switch completely.

No reason to be ashamed, Your on Your way and You will get there. It's been said a million times before, because it's true it's the ones You don't smoke that are important
You will get there.

#3 Multiquote failed me. It's the ones you don't smoke that count! IMO Cigarettes are just as addictive as some of the nastier drugs out there., Very hard to give up! Tobacco companies have spent decades making them as addictive as possible.

4: There is no shame in it, each person has a different time and method to finally end the stinkies. Some can do it the first day, some it takes a year or more, for me it was about two months and that was hugely in part due to the nic amount and device I used. You keep on trucking on the vaping adventure proudly and one day you will be there.

I had some starts and stops the first couple of months vaping...just couldn't give up the cigs while driving or when I was nervous/anxious. It also didn't help that I was futsing around with leaky/gurgling cheap tanks. That dissipated and before I knew it I had a few weeks without any cigs - which has turned into about 4 months. But I can totally relate to what you are saying, Monica, because I had those same feelings when I was starting out/adjusting to vaping. Now, looking back, I realize that it was just part of my journey and there was really nothing to feel guilty/ashamed about.

Look at the cup half-full side of it and be happy that each vape taken is an improvement over the alternative. You've made a great improvement to you life already and it will most likely get easier and easier!!

When I started vaping it wasn't to quit smoking it was so I didn't have to go outside in the weather so muck. I smoked for months after I started vaping until I smoked so little I quit.

AND - Hey I've been at this for quite some time and like some people have already mentioned it has been extremly difficult for "Me" as it has been for others too - especially to become a "Full-time" Vapor and give up cigarettes totally no matter how much I hate the taste of the ones I do smoke . . . "YES - I Still Smoke Cigarettes and I am addicted to the smoking habit" . . . Matter of fact, I guess you can say I instigated a new thread that was started(by proding a certain Moderator into starting the thread), because of it . . . The thread is specifically a "Safe" place here on ECF to support those who are still smoking while trying to learn more about "eCig"/Equipment, or find an ADV, or other products to help them along the way to hopefuly quite smoking some day . . . Did someone tell you that you would need an adapter to use a ProTank on an MVP? I would use the cone that comes with the tank because it makes it harder for the tank to snap off, but, yeah, no need for an adapter. I love my MVP2. I've bought a few other devices since, but I still find that it is the one that I use the most often. . . and wait until you see how long the battery lasts!

#3 Without going into too much detail ( don't need to ) I had several addictions that I have beaten and until I found vaping and this awesome community, that is the one that I could not beat. I tried many times too. So personally, for me it was the MOST addictive.

Any of you that are still smoking analogs I agree with what everyone else has said. Don't sweat the small stuff. It will come and keep in mind that any cut back on the analogs, no matter how small is wonderful! Hooray for you.
